Account Management (supporting role), July 2003 - Present

  • Client - AlphaTrade.com

  • Assisted in designig the AlphaTrade.com press kit, letterhead, and slogan

  • Developed the press list (U.S. and Canadian media outlets), assisted in developing the Unique Selling Points and drafting the press letter.

New Business Director, December 2001 – Present

  • Directed all business development operations including lead generation, researching, initial contact, and follow-up contact with potential clients.

  • Managed agency’s client contact database system (Act! 2000), which consists of over 40,000 companies.

  • Gained knowledge of increasing clients’ profits by utilizing branding tactics and product positioning through visibility in the news media on a local, regional, and national level.

  • Contacted the local media with news items and announcements about the agency.

  • Placed feature stories and agency mentions in local media outlets.

  • Oversaw internship program and monitored all work done by interns and trained all new staff of the proper agency protocol.

Executive Assistant to C. Paul Luongo, August 2001 – December 2001

  • Updated client press lists, drafted pitch letters, and assisted in the media scheduling of two financial New York City Press Tours for Bingham Legg Advisers, LLC and L. Roy Papp & Associates.

  • Assembled press kits, drafted contact letters, and became familiar with all internal daily agency procedures.

  • Managed all office supplies, operated multi-line phones, contacted vendors, greeted all agency visitors, and screen all incoming phone calls for the agency and for the agency president.

June 2002 - Present Public Relations Consultant
Client - Decker Tool Rental, Hawthorn, NY
  • Created and implemented a local Marketing Communications/Public Relations program for the 20th Anniversary of Decker Tool Rental.
  • Assisted in the designing of the Decker Tool Rental Press Kit including but not limited to a corporate biography, a presidential biography, press releases, and oversaw all work completed by graphic artists and editors.
  • Strategically positioned Decker Tool Rental by developing the Unique Selling Points of the company then communicating those specific points along with story ideas through pitch letters to the editors of regional daily and non-daily newspapers, and local and national trade publications.
June 2003 - Present Client - Ride Across America, Boston, MA
  • Organized a full program of communications for Matt Klainer’s Coast-to-Coast bicycle journey to raise awareness of the Dr. Jeremy A. Klainer Entrepreneur Scholarship.
  • Arranged all Media Relations tools for Ride Across America including the designing the Press Kit, Press List, and Press Letters.
  • Wrote, edited, and distributed all press releases via postal mail and e-mail distribution list from press list.
  • Handled all Media Relations and acted as the contact person for media inquires throughout the program.
  • Successfully placed news features in 70% of targeted news outlets including the Democrat and Chronicle ( Rochester , NY ), the Boston Herald, Boston Metro, NECN, and WBZ News Radio 1030.

  • Acted as the liaison between Massachusetts attorneys and the Member Service Center of the Mass Bar Association.

Freestyle Team Director, November 2002 - April 2003

  • Managed all competition Venues
  • Created and implemented the Mount Snow Freestyle Team Weekly E-Newsletter.
  • Acted as the Freestyle Team's spokes person in regards to all inquiries and concerns and acted as the liaison between the Freestyle Team and the Mount Snow Management staff. 
Head Freestyle Coach, January 2001 - April 2001
  • Promoted mid-season to head coach and took over all responsibilities of managing, organizing and budgeting of a staff of five coaches and 40 athletes.

  • Coach competitive athletes ranging from beginners to nationally ranked competitors.
