Bret "Hitman" Hart
Bret "Hitman" Hart is the personification of technical wrestling in the 80's and 90's. He lives in Calgary Alberta Canada, one of the most famous places in wrestling training. His father trained him in his "Dungeon" also known as the legendary Hart basement. Bret recently retired due to a major concussion. In this we will cover the last 10-15 yrs in brets career.
Brets major career started in Vince McMahon's WWF. He teamed w/ Jim "Anvil" Niedhart, to for The Hart Foundation. He and Anvil eventually broke off, which proved better for "The Hitman". Bret held the WWF title 5 times, the IC title on 2 occasions, and the Tag Team titles twice. He won many of these titles w/ his famous finisher known as the Sharp Shooter ( shown above on Gold Dust).
Bret has had many fueds in his WWF days but the major two have to be w/ Shawn "HBK" Micheals and Stone Cold Steve Austin. Ironically HBK would be Brets last WWF opponent. Bret hada real life resentment for Shawn which made a great Fued. Steve Austin was perhaps the Bad Boy that the fans liked. Austin and Hart had an intence rivalry in 96 and 97, Bret came out of retirement to face Austin at WWF Survivor series 96, he proved sucessful over Austin that night. Austin got the better of Bret once or twice but their Major match was an I quit match at WM13, w/ Ken Shamrock as Ref.  Bret won w/ his Sharp Shooter when Steve Austin lost a lot of blood and passed out. Perhaps one of Brets best Career matches.

1997 marked "The Hitmans" last year w/ the WWF, the company that some say made him. Brets final match w/ Shawn Micheals was at Survivor Series 1997, and for the first time in many years Bret was the Heel. This even was in Canada so he was the hometown hero, the face in this match. Late in the match w/ HBK, HBK locked on the Sharpshooter, yes I said HBK! Vince McMahon couldn't afford to pay Bret anymore so he embarassed Bret in an attempt to make Bret quit.  As soon as Bret was in HBK's Sharpshooter Vince McMahon rang the bell and declared Shawn the winner in what some say was the biggest swerve in Pro Wrestling history, w/ Bret on the loosing end. Bret spit on McMahon and eventually made his way to the back and Punched McMahon thus the end of his WWF career.
In Dec. 1997 Bret joined WCW, the WWF rival promotion. However the WCW had, in my opinion, no idea what to do with a superstar as good as "The Hitman". Bret won the US title and world title. It was in a match w/ Bill Goldberg that bret took a violent kick to the head which gave him a concussion and ended his career. Bret retired in 2000.
