| HYPE! Welcome to another rounsing adition of the HYPE!!! My little site is almost at 1100 hits. I would just like to thank the readers and the visiters. You HYPE fans are the greatest. Well, we are about 5days post WWF SummerSlam. All I can say was that unlike the column the PPV didn't live up to the HYPE. It was in many ways the Feel Bad Let Down of the summer. I have a buddy over at Wrestle-Insanity,(lnk on my homepage), he always yells at the Venom because I always say that it was alright, well even he agreed that the PPV didn't live up to the Hype it was give. It all started from the begining. Edge vs. Lance Storm. Great match maybe best on the card, then we Dudleyz and Test vs. APA and Little Spike. I personally thought the match was better then previously expected. I am a dudley fan. I am not a big fan of the APA's inring ability. Well, what can you say about Test he is Test. The match was well with few high spots but what was done was decent for a 6man tag. I think most will agree w/ me. Now we come to RVD vs. J. Hardy in a Hardcore ladder match. It's a ladder match folks its hardcore to start w/. The only difference was the type of belt at the top. It was a HARDCORE CHAMPIONSHIP Ladder Match no different than a IC Championshp Ladder match. I saw RVD mess up for the first time in my viewing of RVD. He blew an obvious spot where jeff was hanging from the belt, as he does in most ladder matches and RVD went for a Vandamninator off the top, well he completly missed. The ending saw hardy get folded up on the ropes as RVD pushed the ladder over. Something was obviously wrong b/c the ending to this otherwise decent match was nothing more then RVD easily climbing to get the belt. Jeff bearly got on the first ladder rung. The mess ups must have been like a contagious plauge b/c Jericho caught the virus. He went against Rhyno. There were many big blows but the high risk spots just F*CKED Jericho up. He missed two top rope attempts and made himself look like a fool by falling face first. He did do a decent Walls of Jericho to end the match, he went old school kneeling behind Rhyno's head. This brings us to the Main events. In the WWF's First main event mistake of the Evening they put Austin Vs. Kurt Angle before Rock vs. Booker T. Austin and Angle one of the best matches on the card had the finish of a Old WCW Nitro main event. And for the Old School WCW fans you know what I mean. Vince mad possibly the worst main event mistake. Austin struck 3refs and Angle had the pin just as everyones favorite WCW ref Nick Patrick comes down. He goes to count for one, but stops and calls for the bell. All you people are thinking screw over right, well your partially right. He announces Angle the winner by DQ but guess what, Austin gets to keep his WWF title on DQ. It was an alliance screw over. It was up until that one of the best matches. Well, its time for the Rock vs. Booker T. Gee I wonder who won this? Booker T vs. Rocks Comeback match. They of course have Shane O'Mac at ringside to pull off the Rock until APA come down and give Shane the Clothsline from Hell. Your basic Rock smash. He wins the Belt, but acts like its the WWF Title. Aren't they supposed to be spitting on the WCW Title if they are WWF, not charishing it. Why WWF? School is starting 8/27 so I probably won't have an update for a while so I wanted to make this a goody. Thanks to the readers and | | \ / Well that is all I have to say for today so!... As always if you don't like me BITE ME! Scott Venom! |
