Lesson # 6: Create an HTML document with
tables.
Step 1:
Open NOTEPAD and start a new document. Also open your browser and navigate to http://www.htmlgoodies.com/tutorials/tables/article.php/3479851#simple
Step 2:
Follow the tutorial instructions,
typing the code into your NOTEPAD document.
Step 3:
Upload the files to your Yahoo
web space….but you need to create a new subfolder first. Here’s how:
A. Go to the file manager
B. At the bottom of the file
list, there is a yellow folder with the word “subdirectories” and a NEW button
right below it. Click on the NEW button.
C. In the box that appears you
will type the name of the new folder, which is “tables”, then click on create
subdirectory.
There you have it! Now open the new folder…and it is empty! You can now upload all the files you just
created into the “tables” folder.
Step 4:
Finally, create a link on your
homepage that lets me open up your first table lesson. NOTE: Make sure you include the “tables” folder in the link address.
Test the links and make sure
everything works.
