Biography Robert nickname "Bobby", was born in Maryhill, Glasgow in 1961 and raised by his father Jospeh. Robert's mother left was he was only 4. When Robert was 21 he read the Arthur Miller's "The Crucible then enrolled in acting classes at the Glasgow Arts centre. In 1991 together with four other actors founded The Raindog theatre company, which was incidently named after the Tom Waits album "Rain Dog", which happens to be one of Robert's favourite albums. The Raindog theatre company in innotive work. Robert was awarded an OBE in the 1999 New Years Honours list. Robert was ranked seventh in the 2001 Orange Film Survey of greatest British actors. |
