From 1998-2000, Scott was playing in a band called RIF RAF in Waco, TX. This hard rock band was initially formed by vocalist Jimbo Ward in Bryan, TX in the late 1980s. Over the years, RIF RAF included guitarists Trent Duffer, Robert Johnson, Colin Ard (Reservoir 9), Shawn O'Bryant (X's IV Eyes, Stroade, Common Ground, Polecat, Supernaut), R. Doughty, J.C. Pringle, and Ken Young: bassists Shannon White, Bob Wilson, Jimmy Kinerd (Common Ground, Sloe Ember, Big Dave, Reservoir 9), and Brian Jaska; drummers David Thibodeau (Messiah, Groovius Maximus), Lance Smith (Atlantis, Full Impact,Whirling Dervish, Point 08), Gary Summers (Rumor Hazit, Reservoir 9, Rubber Soul, Sloe Ember, Falling Upwardz, Steel Loaded, Donnie Rory (Big Dave & The Freak Show), and Chris Yarbro (Towne Adams).
In January and February 1999, "RAUNCH N ROLL" was recorded at DRS STUDIOS in Waco , and released in September 1999.
