This is the class patch we designed. It was a painful process, going through multiple designs, submissions, rejections, and re-designs before getting this version approved. Our first choice was, "We've UPT our standards... Now Up Yours," but that didn't make it past our commander. See if you can tell why that saying fit the picture.

Various class patches from Columbus AFB. Each class comes up with a design on their own, which is then run through an approval process up the chain of command. Many classes go through several versions before one is approved.

More class patches.

Columbus AFB is the home of the 14th Flying Training Wing (FTW), and falls under the Air Education & Training Command (AETC). I am in the 37th Flying Training Squadron, which is one of four on base (two T-37, one T-1, and one T-38 squadron).

These are patches from operational squadrons that we will return to following UPT. The first is from Bandy's unit in Wyoming. The next two are from my unit in Minnesota. The 'spade' designates the 109th Airlift Squadron (C-130s), and the Air Mobility Command (AMC) patch designates what role we play in the overall Air Force (AMC is mostly transport, whereas the Air Combat Command consists of the fighters and bombers).
