Location We are registered Boy Scouts of America in the Transatlantic Council which encompasses all of western and eastern Europe. Our district is the Charlemagne District which covers the Benelux countries (Belgium, The Netherlands, and Luxemburg), and France. We arrived on the continent June 2000 to find the closest Troop/Packs 2-1/2 hours away by train. Thus, we are Lone Scouts without a Troop or Pack. Adopted Scout Groups The British Cub Scouts of The Helen Sharman British School is the adopted Pack for our Webelo. The Johannes Post Troop of the Dutch Scouts is the adopted Troop for our Boy Scout. Both organizations have been exceptionally kind in making our Lone Scouts feel welcome and a part of the group. The Program We have organized an exciting year of activities for our Webelo Scout to work toward his Arrow of Light award, and for our Boy Scout First Class to work toward his Star Rank. We look forward to several District- and Council-wide activities to meet other Scouters... the best part of Scouting! Look at our calendar of events under Webelo Activities and Boy Scout Activities on our home page. |
