                  He is the founder member of Scorpions. He was born in 1948 in Hanover, Germany. Usually he writes all the music in the band, along with Klaus Maine. Rudolph is heavily influenced by Elvis Presley's  music and he likes Indian  Philosophy, Yoga & Meditation.

                                        KLAUS MEINE

                        Born on May 25,  1948 in Hanover, Germany, Joined the Scorpions in 1972 along with Michael Schenker  leaving their former band called Copernicus. Klaus never left the band. Still he is the  lead singer of  Scorpions and the main lyricist. we can't imagine the Scorpions without Klaus Meine& his magical voice.

                              ULI JON ROTH

            Uli Jon Roth is the most gifted Guitar players in the world.. He was heavily  influenced by Jimi Hendrix guitar playing.  His work with the Scorpions from 1974 to 1978 is truly a classic period for scorpions.  Scorpions has great impact of  the Uli Jon Roth. He is a great  master Guitar Player.  Started his music life with the band called " Dawn Road". But  recorded  first  album with the Scorpions in 1974 's "Fly to The Rainbow".    From that point, The      consecutive four years is the highest point of Scorpions creative period and as well as to Uli Jon Roth.  He was the second lead singer of the band.. & wrote many songs for the band in his period with the band.. The good examples of  his writing skills are, Fly To The Rainbow, Drifting Sun, Yellow Raven, The Sails Of Charon, Evening Wind, Life's Like A River Etc....

                           MICHAEL SCHENKER

                             Michael Schenker was born on January 10, 1955 in Germany,  the younger brother of  Rudolph Schenker. These  two Brothers  heavily influenced the German Rock MusicScene. Michael is also one of the gifted guitar players who was the youngest  player in the Scorpions, When they recorded their first record "Lonesome Crow" in 1972, He was just 16 at that time. He  joined in U.F.O band in 1973, and  rejoined The Scorpions for one album in 1979 for Lovedrive album. In 1980, he formed his own band "MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP" which is eventually abbreviated to MSG

Wolfgang Dziony :  You can see him in this 1965 photo, second from the left sitting with a drum. He was a drummer in the band from 1965 to 1972.  He quit the Scorpions after releasing their first album "LONESOME CROW " in 1972. Then He got married and got a Job in a local power plant.           

Karl-Heinz Vollmer : He played lead guitar for the Scorpions before Lonesome Crow andeven before Michael Schenker joined the band    

Achin Kirchoff : You can see Him First from the left of this photo. He played bass for the Scorpions before Lothar Heimberg joined the band.

                           Lothar Heimberg

                 Third from the left You can see Lothar Heimberg in this 1972 Photo . He was the bass player in the band from 1968 to 1972.  He quit the band after 1972 and got married and settled with a job in a local power plant.

                                    Joe Wyman         

              Joe was in the band for a brief tour between 1972 and 1973. But he never record an album with Scorpions. He played the drums in the band. You can see him  second from the left in this photo.

                            Jurgen Rosenthal

             Jurgen Rosenthal is the fourth one from the left in this photo. He was the drummer in the band from 1973 to 1975. Before he joined this band, he was a member of the Dawn Road which was formed by Uli Jon Roth. He worked only in "Fly To The Rainbow" Album. He was replaced by Rudy Lenners in 1975 because he got drafted by the German Army.

Francis Buchholz : You can see Francis First From the left side of this photo. He was the bass player in the band. He played the bass guitar for the band for a long time, Who was a  member of the band from 1973 and quit the band in 1992. He left the band for his personal reasons.

Rudy Lenners : Rudy Lenners is Third From The Left. He was drummer in the band from 1975 to 1977, who Worked in "In Trance" and "Virgin Killer" Albums.  He Quit the band in 1977 because he developed a heart murmur.

                               MATTHIAS JABS

                    Matthias Jabs came into the band in 1978  when Uli Jon Roth  quit to form his own band called " Electric Sun".  Actually Scorpions auditioned 140 hopefuls, before deciding on Hanover-born Matthias Jabs "Lovedrive" is the first album he worked on, & it is the group's biggest success so far. That album contains their few  of the greatest songs  like  " Always Somewhere, Holiday, Is There Anybody There?" etc...  He is still in the band,  contributing a lot to the band. Scorpions has found in Matthias a guitarist with limitless creativity who thrilled in the sheer joy of playing music which has continued to the band's success till today.

                           HERMAN  RAREBELL

                                         Herman The German.... That's what his fans used to call him. He came into the band in 1977 as a drumme in the place of  Rudy Lenners. Herman Rarebell was the longtime drummer for the Scorpions. He quit the band in 1995 to solo career and to form  recording company in Monaco with Prince Albert, called " Monaco Records.

                                      RALPH RIECKERMAN

                          Ralph came into the band in 1992 when scorps longtime bass player francis left the band for his personal reasons. From then, Ralph is with the band. His first album with the band is "Face The Heat" ( 1993).

                                         JAMES KOTTAK

                        James Kottak is came into the band in 1995 in the place of  Herman Rarebell as a drummer. James Kottak became the first American to play in the German rock band. He has been in many band before he came into scorpions. Few of them are " Warrant, MSG (Michael Schenker Group), Montrose Etc...

             He has his own band called " KRUNK", Where he plays Guitar and sings while his wife , Athena Bass, plays drums. Even Though he is a fulltime member, he still plays with KRUNK in his spare time.  You could know more about his band by visiting  KRUNK'S Official website.
