hana loves planes. while taking a bath tonight, she grabbed her bathtub picture book and its picture of a plane, and started waving it over her head while making that unmistakable sound of a 1 year old imitating a plane. then, after getting out of the tub, she hoisted her delta airlines 747 stuffed toy and started circling around her playroom while again making that same sound.

hana pointed to a picture of some babies in her "bathtub picture book" and said "baby"! this brings her speaking vocabulary to four words, the others include: mam'ma (food)...pop'po (bird)...papa (dad) she can also understand the words nen'ne (sleep), hikouki (airplane), and suki-suki (cuddle me). i thought i heard her whisper the word "existentialism" the other day, but i could have been sniffing a bit too much vaporub at the time.
