The Man

Scottso14: First off, thanks for taking the time to sit down and let me interview you...that is of course if you are in fact sitting down. Lets take a second and let the coaches out there get to know Showrunner the person. Whats your real name? Age? Married? Kids? You know the drill.

SHOWRUNNER: WOW!!!! Scottso, I feel like Im on ESPNs BUDWEISER HOT SEAT!!!! Not sure I can operate under all this pressure. Can I take a break and get a beer from your sponsor before we get started?

Scottso14: Sponsorship? Now that is a great idea. And a beer sponsor too.can we do that?

SHOWRUNNER: Youll have to ask Mr. Conte on that one, but in the meantime lets open a coldie and get started. My name is JP, but all my friends call me Show or Showrunner. Im currently in my fifth decade of a wonderful life, but I have a couple of years yet before I hit the big FOUR OHHHHH!!!! Im a born and raised Westsider. All the Cincinnati readers/coaches know what that means, and that in itself could start a 30 page debate on the forums between the Tri-States Eastside losers and Westside winners. I was married back in 96 and my beautiful wife Liesa and I have been blessed with 5 wonderful children. Four girls though, so that makes bathroom time tighter than Joan Rivers eyebrows.

Scottso14: One question and we already have a riot on our hands in Cincinnati! Nice work Show. I can call you Show right? Where did you get your handle anyway?

SHOW: I seem to remember posting in a thread about handles a few years back, but Ill elaborate on the name again. Years ago my father asked me to put a summer vacation to Disney World together for the extended family. He figured I was the perfect candidate since I had been organizing a 30+ guy golf trip for years. Anyway, a 30 page powerpoint presentation, 8 day spreadsheet by the quarter hour, copies of maps for every state from Ohio to Cuba, and 22 matching T-Shirts and 5 days of 6am wakeup calls later, my mom realized they may have made a mistake. On day 6 when the alarm went off, my mom drearily asked what are we doing today, and my cranky dad spouted off.Christ Honey, if you lost your schedule again call SHOWRUNNER in here and get it straight. It just stuck!

Scottso14: LMAO...thats an incredibly funny story. You can always count on families for those special moments. Speaking about that thread...that was one i created quite a while ago. It does pop up still from time to time on the front page of the GD forums. Its almost always an interesting story to see where someones moniker came from. Im sure with 5 kids you have plenty of stories like those?

SHOW: You have no idea. We have 3 huge monthly calendar whiteboards in our kitchen where we keep our schedules. Between Liesas and my work schedule and coaching, my sons basketball, speed camps, baseball, football, etc. and my daughters gymnastics, dance, girl scouts, choir practice. We have to schedule laundry night. Thank god for cell phones, computers, dishwashers, and TiVo.

Scottso14: Wow...seems like a handful. Better you than me...lol. Speaking of TiVo, what do you like about it and what would I find on your TiVo?

SHOW: Is this a setup or what? I wrote an article about TiVo years ago. Bottom line. Its the greatest invention since the thong. Let's say you're a guy watching the sports report on the 11 o'clock news. You only get five minutes, right?. And just as Biff Hairspray swings into the NCAA basketball scores, the wife comes up and says, "Honey?" And you do the standard guy trick, which is to turn your whole body toward the voice, while keeping your head facing the set. "You're not listening," she says. "I am too," you say, nodding like Monk at a crime scene. Not convinced, she says, "O.K., tomorrow, you'll have to go up to school and take Kiki and Cole to the dentist and then drop Kiki at her dance lesson, and Cole at baseball practice...." But of course you're enthralled with Musketeers 72, Flyers 51. And this is what you hear instead: "O.K., tomorrow Justin Cage will have to go up and under the dentist and then Drew Lavender will drop four threes on her dance lesson right before baseball practice...." Then it hits you at about 1 a.m., in the middle of REM sleep, that you agreed to do something and have no idea what it is. But with TiVo, the instant you hear, "Honey?" you immediately hit PAUSE on your TiVo, turn 100% of your body to your wife, look her right in the eye, smile more earnestly than Billy Graham and utter sweetly, "Yes, sugarplum?" And as long as she doesn't talk for more than 29 minutes, you're golden.

To answer your other question, on any given night youd find whatever games were on ESPN Classic that day (I have 313 college games on DVD, its a sickness), CSIs, the latest episode of Heroes, 24, and the latest Xavier Musketeer Basketball game.

Scottso14: Way too funny. I'm a big fan of the Tivo as well, and have 4 of them in my house. Two of which have a lifetime subscription, and the others that the cable company and Directv supply....and yes i have both Cable and Directv...lol. I have Directv for the sports packages, and then the cable for my internet, phone, and HDTV. Classic. You mention writing articles, are you a journalist?

SHOW: No, not at all. Writing is a bit of a hobby. I enjoy being creative and making people laugh. When the mood strikes me I write some editorials for the neighborhood and press, and occasionally Ive posted some long long rants/views on the forums from my perfect day, to what college football is all about, etc. I pay the bills by being an Info. Technology Director for a fortune 100 company. Between the hours of 3am-6am I also own an internet development company.

Scottso14: I've read a few of them, and yes, you do have a creative nature about yourself. Pretty much everything you write is always good for a laugh...in the good sense that is...lol. Where did you go to school and what was your major?

SHOW: Im a proud Elder Panther, there I go again, slipping into my Western Hills roots. You probably meant College. I majored in Information Systems at Xavier University and yes DArtagnan is my hero.

Scottso14: Do you prefer college sports to pro sports?

SHOW: A friend of mine asked me the other day, Show, When did we start taking sports on television so seriously? People are up in arms over the BCS, NBCs contract with ND, College players turning pro too early, too late, ESPN showing slam dunks, etc., and I don't understand why. We're dealing with sports here, not life and death. I paused and then explained, No, it's not life and death. It's more important than that. With that said see if my thread regarding my brain issues is still out there it definitely explains everything. Some minds are steel traps. According to friends, relatives, co-workers, etc. My mind is a lint trap, retaining only useless fluff, so that I know why 158.33 is important (not to mention perfect), but not why 3.14 is. How can you make someone like that choose?

To answer the question, definitely college. The color, the pageantry, the excitement, its unequalled. Every year my father, brother, son and I take a College Football trip. Just the guys. Things memories are made of. Weve been to more colleges, stadiums, bowl games, etc. than you can possibly imagine. I would not trade that time for anything in the world.

Scottso14: Sounds like you have a fun life. You definatly need to put the male bonding time aside from time to time. And yes, they are always the most memorable times. I hate it when the wife needs that time though...i'm married to a crazy one, and don't even want to think about what she does when she has her occasional ladies nights...lol.

So, what kind of music are you listening to these days?

SHOW: My cell phone ring tone is the theme from Monday Night Football, and my sons favorite CD is the Ohio State Marching band doing 101 college fight songs. Seriously, I like a lot of stuff from Jimmy Buffett and Kenny Chesney to Piano Man and Rocket Man to 50 Cent and Eminem to The Cheetah Girls and Hannah Montana. Remember I have 4 girls under 7 .

Scottso14: Sounds alot like me. I'm a DJ at a club here on the Jersey Shore on weekends. So, needless to say, i have to keep up with the current music for the clubs, and even though its music i never thought i'd be listening to, it kind of grows on you after a while. But at 48 years old, i'm starting to feel and look like the old man in the DJ booth. I always thought the crowd was getting younger, but its me getting older...lol. I think when i reach 50, i'll let the kids take over. But it was a greag gig to get chicks up until the time i got married. I work in a crazy bar, and alot of crazy things happen there. I almost landed in divorce court a few years ago when my wife walked into the bar, and saw a naked chick dancing in my booth. Of course, i had nothing to do with it, but who was i to stop it...lol.

You mentioned your Television habits above. Let me put a twist on the favorite TV show question and go with.Which TV character from any time would you consider to be most like yourself?

SHOW: I dont watch a ton of TV but is anyone married to a wealthy, nymphomaniac that owns a liquor store and looks like Jennifer ODell? I want to be that guy.

Scottso14: No, No, No, not who do you want to be, who is most like you?

SHOW: Well hell thats no fun. My wife always compares me to two people, so Id have to say a combination of that Sean guy from the new PSYCH series on USA and Jim Belushi in According to Jim. I guess Im the ultimate contrast. An intelligent, observant, amusing, idiot, that makes bad decisions, but has a photographic memory in order to remember it all.

Scottso14: Lets move on before one of us gets in trouble..What are some of your favorite hobbies?

SHOW: Scott, are you listening to any of these answers or just mowing through your questions? Ive got 5 kids remember? I do like to fish, and I used to play a lot of golf but theres no time for that anymore.

Scottso14: Could you beat John Daly in golf if he gave you as many shots as you gave him beers?

SHOW: Let's see ... yes. Because -- in 18 holes -- he could easily get through 54 beers, so all I'd have to shoot is 134 to beat him. And that is a score I'm still very capable of shooting.

Scottso14: With such a busy schedule, tell me exactly what a day in the life of Showrunner involves.

SHOW: To start, everyday is pretty much scripted based on what day it is, and what time of year it is. Lets make it easy and go with tomorrows schedule. Saturday March 10. Its currently 2:30am and Im doing laundry, setting my gameplan for tomorrows game, watching USC vs. Wazzu St., and getting ready to crash. 5:30am wake my 7 year old daughter and get her ready for her gymnastics meet. 6:00am Leave for the meet. Its north of Dayton so will take about 2 hours to get there. The entire family is going. 8-10:30 Meet. 10-noon Head home and grab lunch. 1:00 Sons basketball game. 2:30 Sons baseball practice and twin daughters gymnastics practice (wife will handle that one), 6:00 Dinner at Grandmas 8:10 7 year old daughters indoor soccer game, 9:30 Drop kids at home with babysitter and head to friends party. Midnight home, do laundry, and get ready to do it again tomorrow. This may sound crazy to some but Im big believer in family time and being there for your kids. I wouldnt have it any other way.

Scottso14: Cetainly sounds like they could create a sitcom around your life. I definatly prefer my life alot more relaxed than that, but thats just me being lazy. With the schedule you have every day, there is never any time to be lazy..which is probably a good thing. I'm sure when the time comes where the kids are old enough and move on with their own lives, you won't know what to do with yourself...lol.

Lets move on to some sports questions. Who are your favorite teams?

SHOW: I absolutely love sports. When it comes to me and anything sports related imagine, Art Schlichter with Bill Gatess checkbook in Vegas for one weekend. However there are a few things in the sports world that transcend my overall love of the games. The two things closest to my heart are Elder Panther Football and Xavier Musketeer Basketball. Notre Dame football is a close third, and the Bengals fall in there somewhere as well.

Scottso14: And who are some of your favorite sports personalities and why?

SHOW: Come on, there are so many good people both in the game and around the game. Its like sending Rosie ODonnel to the Miss America pagent and telling her to pick one! Tough guys are great examples for kids on how to play the game, how to leave it on the field. People like Brett Favre, Rulon Gardner, and Lance Armstrong are great examples of that. On the flip side there are guys who have fun with what they do, make us laugh and share the spotlight. Guys like Chad Johnson, Shaq, Tom Browning, etc. Bottom line I respect the people who respect the game. Who are out there every night for their teammates, for their fans, for the love of their sport. I despise the selfish athlete.

Scottso14: Well said. Take a moment and tell me about some of your favorite sports moments.

SHOW: Obviously I could make a list of big Xavier wins, beating the University of Cincinnati like a red headed step child for so many seasons, knocking off Georgetown for their first Sweet Sixteen appearance, spanking Texas in Atlanta for their first Elite 8, etc. Elder Football winning back to back state championships a few years back was special as well. As Ive mentioned, I have over 300 games on DVD that includes everything from Flutie to Phalen, Stewart to Westbrook, Montana to Clark, Nebraskas fifth down, Dukes miracle in Philadelphia, Jimmy Vs moment, Justin Leonards putt, etc. etc. etc. However there is one sports moment that stands out above all the rest. You got 10 seconds, the countdown going on right now. Morrow up to Silk, five seconds left in the game, DO YOU BELIEVE IN MIRACLES? YESSSSSS!!!!. Still gives me goose bumps and brings a tear to my eye every time I hear it. It is the greatest and most important sports moment in the history of the United States. Every youngster out there who has never watched the game needs to block off a Saturday afternoon and watch it. When the US got the lead 4-3 with 10 minutes to play, they looked as if theyd just been told Billy The Kid had called in sick for the noon gunfight. They were no longer skating, they were flying. And to win despite being outshot 39-16 is flat out AMAZING. Jim Craig was god for a day.

Scottso14: I can definitely see your passion for sports. Do you, or did you participate in any sports?

SHOW: Does baseball have a steroid issue? Of course I played. Football, baseball, basketball, track, bowling, softball, golf, snow skiing, played them all competitively until I was too old and then I resorted to coaching. Currently I coach football, baseball, and basketball.

Scottso14: Wow..you must have been some athelete. I only played softball and bowling...lol. I excelled at both though. I had to give up softball in my mid 30s, as the injuries started to compile and i was missing work because of them. But i still bowl and carry a 210 average. Although the leagues i play in are pretty tough, and that avearage is pretty low compared to these young kids coming up out of nowhere.

What are some of your views Iraq?

SHOW: Are they a school in the NAIA? They have to be, as I dont recognize them from Div. I, II, or III.

Scottso14: Okay, lets try this one then. Who would you like to see run for president next?

SHOW: Joe Lunardi and Jerry Palm. If they can make sense out of the RPI and the selection committee imagine what they could do with the electoral college. Thats one hell of a ticket right there. Im sure the Mid-Major party would back em.

Scottso14: Ok..i think we have gone deep enough into your personal life...lol. I'd like to ask you some WIS related questions if you don't mind.

SHOW: Sure, lets do it. Can I get another beer first? Where did those Budweiser girls run off too?

Scottso14: Theyre done after the first segment. Beers still free though. . First off...How did you find out about the WIS website?

The Coach

SHOW: I knew about it since it first started. A local sports talk show host used to rave about it so I checked it out. It was big into baseball back then, and baseball really wasnt my thing. Years later I happened to check out the site to run some March Madness sims and happened onto the GD thing.

Scottso14: What made you try GD?

SHOW: My wife threatened to take away my ESPN Classic privileges if I didnt. . Seriously, though, my neighbor (Webs32) and I stayed up til 3:00am drinking beer two years ago almost to the day just to get some teams. Like Jacko at the local orphanage, I was hooked.

Scottso14: Are there any other WIS games you've tried or are currently playing?

SHOW: Got a credit for a free season of Hoops Dynasty, but didnt have the time to get into it.

Scottso14: Are there any other user names you go by?

SHOW: I think this site can only handle one Showrunner . Just this season Cravedogg invited me to run the defense at Alabama on the sportssfan account. Im really enjoying that, and considering dropping some of my teams to maybe hook up with some other coaches. Just a thought.

Scottso14: What do you think about the WIS website as a whole?

SHOW: I think its a hot blonde that turns into a pizza and a six pack after sex. PERFECT! But then again Ive never been associated with any other sites like it.

Scottso14: Tell me about some of your favorite GD moments.

SHOW: There are so many. My first CC at Edinboro, my first national title at Coastal Carolina, etc. But the most magical and the crowning moment of my career was winning the NC in Heisman with Notre Dame last season. I wont go into here, there is a thread about it over in the Heisman forum if anyone is interested.

Scottso14: What do you think about the WIS community in general?

SHOW: I think it is a remarkable group of people. Like every community there are a few bad apples, but you can always just ignore those knuckleheads.

Scottso14: How about the forums?

SHOW: The forums need more guys like Paranoid, GT, and yourself. We really miss Bruce and his columns etc. I really think it would be cool if WIS would hire someone to monitor the forums and create a buzz when necessary, or run columns like your interviews, just to keep the information flowing. On the flip side Id like to see a few guys banned from the forums. We all know who they are, they constantly post crap just to see their names on the forum. Im too old for those kind of games.

Scottso14: I couldn't agree more. I generally try to create threads that have some kind of ongoing flow to them, and that get alot of coaches involved. Like this one, and the "Where did you get your moniker" thread. I really hate to see all the negativity at times on these forums. When i first started playing here at WIS, i was actually afraid to post on the forums afraid of getting ripped by the likes of Moranis or Snake. Moranis is gone now, and i know Snake alot better now and have a better understanding of him. But there was a time when those 2 patroled the forums and pretty much had something to say about everything that was posted. So for the first 3-4 months, i just stayed away from the forums. We have a different group of coaches now than we did back then, and we see alot more people contributing more interesting things than we used to.

Have you ever traded in WIS reward points for gift certificates, and if so, what did you buy with them?

SHOW: Funny you should ask. I cashed in for almost $400 in gift certificates and bought Christmas presents this past year. My wife loved it. Now she roots extra hard for DII teams that she never heard of that coincidentally ARENT REAL.

Scottso14: Thats funny. I constantly show my wife all the credits i have built up, and let het know what kind of cash they can translate into. This is the only reason she lets me spend all the time i do here...lol. I told het in about 6 months, i should have about enough to trade them in for about 1000 dollars in gift certificates, and she leaves me alone.

Lets move on to some more specific GD questions.

We've all had people who have helped us learn more about the game along the way. Who do you feel are some of the coaches who have helped you the most?

SHOW: If you havent noticed, I like to talk. Im like the energizer bunny with sitemail, I just keep going and going and going. There are so many coaches out there that have helped me, there is no way to list them all. However I will tell you that Michaeldartt is the guy who set me straight. My first sitemails were to him and Bronco and both answered and gave me some interesting info. From then on I sitemailed anyone and everyone that was doing something I didnt understand. Thanks to those guys for making me feel comfortable in the community.

Scottso14: Two great guys, and very good coaches. We all know of Michaeldartts achievements, but i think Bronco is a very under rated coach. He's a quite guy, so goes mostly un-noticed, but to me is one of the greatest coaches on this site. I haven't been with him in a conference in a very long time, but we had some rivalries back in the D3 days, and i've always had alot of respect for him since then.

Speaking of rivalries, what coaches have made up some of your favorite GD rivalries?

SHOW: Ive had some great rivalries, but none have gone on as long as my rivalry with Plague over in Stagg. Our USC vs. Cal rivalry has been going on for about 10 seasons. I think weve played in the Conf. Championship against each other 8 straight times. Every time I play him I feel like I must descend into hell and pull the devil's teeth. Its like Clyde Barrow versus Fort Knox, or Roseanne versus Denny's page 3.

Scottso14: Plague is a very tough coach. I can't say i've had any true rivalries with him, as we have never been in the same conference together. But i've had my share of playoff games against him. Truthfully, i can't remember if i've ever even beaten him. I don't keep track of my records against the coaches i've played against. But i certainly know my record against him is not a steller one. In fact, it was my game against him recently in Bryant that got me fired from FSU...So thats a big notch in his belt in games against me once again...lol.

As a coach who has played at all the different levels, in which order do you feel are the easiest to the toughest to win championships in?

SHOW: It all depends on the maturity of the world and were the coaches are. Ive been around for about 2 years now, and I believe there are 15-20 ELITE Coaches. Outside of that there are another 50+ guys that are pretty damn good. Avoid those guys and you can win at any level.

Scottso14: At what level have you enjoyed the most success?

SHOW: D1. I win by playing Sims.

Scottso14: Lol...the sims are about the only teams i beat at D1A. I can definatly say, D1AA for me has brought me my most success. For some reason, D1A is taking me a long time to figure out. But, at the moment, my goal is to win a NC in D1A, so i will never leave this game till that goal is accomplished.

There seems to be a lot of talk lately of some major updates on the way. What changes would you be most interested in seeing?

SHOW: I would like to see the WTA make Anna Kournikova the #1 player in the world and require all players wear only thongs and bras when competing. All white at Wimbelton of course. I would like to see the World Cup cancelled, permanently. I would also like to see Bob Huggins pull both hammies 10 seconds into Pamplona.

Scottso14: I meant GD. Changes in GD.

SHOW: Sorry Scott. You need to be more specific. I would like to see a tweak to the firing process, change to the 5/8 scheduling, schedule your own out of conf. games, and improve the hiring process so elites dont go without coaches so long.

Scottso14: You would have thought being this far into the interview that I would have known better before throwing a question out there without being more specific...lol. What do you look for when you are looking to move to a new team?

SHOW: Nothing special. I look for good coaches, and overall challenges.

Scottso14: It seems like all the different levels require different types of teams to be successful. I remember in D3, it seemed to be the heavy passing teams that were the great ones, and as you go up the levels, it starts to be the better running teams that are the tough ones to beat. I know you can run in the lower levels as well, but it seems that once you get into the playoffs, the better teams can all pretty much shut down the run. Do you agree with this?

SHOW: Im absolutely 100% sure you might be right. You might be wrong though too.

Scottso14: What is your favorite style of play...run, balanced, or passing.

SHOW: I like to be balanced. Great at both.

Scottso14: And which do you fear to play against the most?

SHOW: I fear playing any team better than mine or coach better than me. When youre playing a great team and a great coach you cant stop either.

Scottso14: Do you find you pretty much run all your teams the same way..or is each team different for you?

SHOW: I test with my Bryant teams and look for things that work, then I build my teams around my findings.

Scottso14: What formations do you feel work the best? It seems like almost everyone uses Trips and Notre Dame on offense or 4-4 or Nickel for the most part on defense.

SHOW: I think any formation and combination works with a coach that dedicates himself to that system. I could talk on this for hours, and I invite anyone to sitemail me if you want me to elaborate, but Im uneasy just giving this stuff out for coaches who dont want to work for it.

Scottso14: I was hoping you could share some of your gaming strategies with us. I wouldn't expect you to tell us everything about what makes you successful, but some tips for new players, or even us vets might be helpful.

SHOW: Keep players fresh, recruit for depth, rotate your formations, and scout your opponent. Remember any edge is a good edge.

Scottso14: Would you like to eventually see a playoff system in D1A, or do you prefer the bowl system at that level? Finish this sentence the BCS is.

SHOW: ... keeping us from identifying the true national champion. We all know that soon we'll have a playoff. Let's get out of this purgatory we're in. However, I love the Bowls. I dont have an answer, but I know this isnt working.

Scottso14: Do you think we will ever see the day where a world is completely full throughout the levels?

SHOW: I hope so. That would be really fun.

Scottso14: What are some of your better recruiting strategies?

SHOW: Take the time to evaluate all the players and recruit the entire country. Know who youre battling with and pick your battles wisely. On top of that, battle for the key positions OL, DL, and RB anything else is a waste of money.

Scottso14: What do you feel is the best way to split up your practice minutes and why?

SHOW: Honestly, I dont pay any attention to that. I set a plan when I get a team and it stays until I leave.

Scottso14: What about the aggressiveness levels. When do you feel its best to go aggressive or conservative?

SHOW: When I was single and dating I was much more aggressive. Now that Im married I think the conservative approach works best. No seriously, on this one I again cant comment because I have not found the secret. I basically guess in the first half and if it doesnt work I change it.

Scottso14: I couldn't agree more...and i'm sure my wife feels about the same...lol.

What do you think is the more successful team...a offensive one or a defensive one. I know you need both to win, but what do you think wins games?

SHOW: Defense wins championships. Thats not a lie, however I have no idea how to build a great defense in this game.

Scottso14: Aside from the normal core stats for each position, what secondary ones are the most important for players in your opinion?

SHOW: Strength for Running backs, and linebackers. Tackling for linebackers and Defensive Backs, and dont be afraid to recruit the occasional fullback with high blocking skills. Stamina is overrated in my opinion, especially when you have depth.

Scottso14: Rob asked this question in his last interview, and i thought it was a good one. Name one coach that you would want to coach your team in a Championship game?

SHOW: NOT BIRDIE!!!! He had his chance with my ND team and Heisman and blew it. Its no big deal he knows Im just yanking his chain. This is a great question and a very hard one to answer. It would definitely depend on who I was playing. Carpe, Plague, GT, Birdie, Bronco, Michael, and Crave would all be great choices. There are others as well.

Scottso14: What do you think of the firing system GD currently has in place?

SHOW: They are needed. I would like to see them a bit more lenient though. Based more on approvement. I really would like to see the hiring process updated to force coaches to build more. I hate seeing coaches jump from winner to winner to winner and leaving teams in worse shape when they got there. Those are the guys that are ultimately getting fired.

Scottso14: Do you think home field is too strong in D1A, or do you feel its just how it should be?

SHOW: Its about right.

Scottso14: Are there any goals you hope to accomplish in GD before your done playing?

SHOW: I need to work on that. I accomplished my ultimate goal last season in Heisman. I need a new one.

Scottso14: Okay, lets close this out by having a little fun. Lets try a couple of quick ones.Do you believe a salary cap is needed in baseball?

SHOW: Do you believe Charlie Weiss should try the cottage cheese plate once in a while?

Scottso14: Should Tiger Woods start playing left handed or on his knees to give others a chance?

SHOW: I think he should start having to play alternate shot with Birdie. (Hell love that).

Scottso14: Last but not least, I was asked by a fellow coach to ask you about the "Walkerton Wacko's". Care to elaborate more?

SHOW: I didnt know you had Webs32 and Fuzz23 in your back pocket. This changes everything. The Walkerton Wackos are basically the group of neighbors on our street. With the two new families that just moved in, were up around 10-11 guys now. Our claim to fame is the big screen TV. And when I say big I mean BIG!!!! It stems from the mutual enjoyment of College Football. We all feel that the first college football game is The greatest day of the year! Better than Christmas morning, better than daisy duke shorts on Jessica Simpson, better than beer, and even better than the day they cancel MLS FOREVER!!!! But the bottom line is, COLLEGE FOOTBALL is the GREATEST!!!! Each year as our eight month wait finally ends. Like Hugh Grant in West Hollywood with a pocket full of $20's and Divine Brown on the corner, relief and total satisfaction are only moments away. I was happier than the "spritzer boy" at a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit shoot when ESPN introduced ESPN GAMEPLAN a few years back, but then along came WALKERTON Cinema. Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey have nothing on the "Walkerton Wacko's". The Greatest Show on Earth isn't in some Big Top Tent, it resides in the cul-de sac of Walkerton Drive. I would give my wife and four daughters my credit card and a weekend on Michigan Avenue just so I could watch college football on the 15' X 18' HUGE Screen. I would wear spike heels, a see-through muumuu and RuPaul's curlers if it were the only way to get a seat around the fire pit on Walkerton. If you like in-your-face football, a trash can full of ice cold beer, beef and chicken on the grill, around a fire pit in the great outdoors, this is the place for you. The only thing that beats watching football with these guys in this atmosphere are the actual matchups on schedule for this year. So if it's a circus you want to see, complete with high flying acts, lions, tigers, leprechauns and goofy clowns (we have plenty of those right Webs?). Don't waste your money at Cirque Du Soleil, drop in on the "Walkerton Wackos" they definitely won't disappoint.

Scottso14: Sounds great, Ill definatly make a point to visit you "Wacko's" if i ever get out your way.

Well Show, It looks like we have just about run out of time...and space...lol. Thanks for taking the time to share your insight and observations with us. Is there anything else I can get for you before you leave?

SHOW: How about Vanessa Marcil?

Scottso14: Ahh...the main reason i watch Las Vegas. I tell you what...as soon as i'm done with her...she's all yours.

Thanks once again Show for taking the time out of your extremely busy schedule to chat with us. I can see there is never a dull moment in the life of Showrunner, and i'm glad you were able to share some of it with us. We'll definatly have to add a part 2 to this interview in the future. Its always a pleasure to chat with someone as witty and humerous as yourself. The pleasure has been all mine.
