| What a blessing to be able to share 2003 with you! ~* Dear Loved Ones *~ Goodness! What a year so far! We've had alot going on and we're staying PLENTY busy! Check out all that's going on with each of our family members and our latest 'Isaacs News' page to stay updated about us! ~*~*~*~*~*~ A little about the Isaacs family... Scott and I went to Cancun, Mexico the end of May - JUST US! Scott's parents took care of the kids for us. It was a wonderfully relaxing time and gave us a much needed rest!! Baileigh's annual ballet/tap recital was May 31st. She did a wonderful job!! After her recital, she wanted her hair cut so Mommy cut it for her and it's now just below her shoulders instead of down to her waist! WHAT A CHANGE!! She looks 3 years older! Scott attended a praise and worship conference in California at Saddleback Christian Church in mid-July but I stayed back with the kids He had a great time and learned so much. I was glad he could get away for awhile! READ ON FOR MORE... ~* Scott *~ Scott has been busy with work as always. It keeps him away 6 days a week and we miss him but it keeps food on our table. He served most of last year as the Secretary on our recently established board for the Home Owners Association in our subdivision. As of the last election, he was voted in as President and will be for this entire year. He enjoys his visits to the Athletic Club downtown and playing with the girls and his newly aquired all gas grill (that will last us our entire marriage). He also sings on the Praise Team, may be helping with the children's choir at church if Bai participates and still enjoys a bowl of good ice cream! Scott and I both participate in 2 couples Bible studies at church and are really enjoying the relationships we're forming in the groups and the interaction and growth that it's bringing. ~* Jeannie *~ I am almost ALWAYS busy! Whether it's playing with or taking care of the girls, shuttling Baileigh back and forth to school and ballet, playdates or my 5th year attending MOPS (Mothers Of Pre Schoolers - a Mom's group at our church) there's SOMETHING going on! I'm currently on hiatus from singing on the Praise Team, I still coordinate Caring Touch Ministry for year #4, and serve on the CONNECTIONS Team at church for small groups for my 4th year as well. My favorite thing (besides my family) is my time together with my Mommy friends as we share the struggles and joys of Motherhood with one another and my once a year Hearts at Home Conference in Bloomington/Normal, Illinois that Scott's sister comes up for as well. Between grabbing naps my current goal is listing lots of clothes on eBay to clear out the clutter and simplifying the family home. I've become what the family lovingly refers to as the "Crockpot Queen" because it is my favorite way to cook and I occasionally add to her crockpot cookbook collection. I have indeed hit on a few winners...Potato Soup, Clam Chowder and Swiss Steak (shared by Linda Lowe). I'm planning on some home improvements...mainly painting a few rooms, hanging some curtains and moving Macie into Baileigh's room sometime before Christmas. ~* Baileigh *~ Baileigh is turning into a really beautiful young lady! She just had a birthday April 27th and turned 7! She had a great sleepover with a friend from school, followed by a kids party the next day which was finally wrapped up by a family/friends cookout where Dad got to try out the new grill. She is anxiously awaiting her Dance Recital in May. Baileigh is tall and skinny and is in the 90th percentile on her weight (48 pounds) and 95th percentile on her height. She has that long, lean build of a dancer! She is now attending 2nd grade at Wanamaker Elementary and she loves her teacher Miss. Stites. She excels in reading and math and loves to take books to school to read to her class. She has started off the year making excellent grades and really enjoys "specials" at school. That includes, music, library, gym and music. She loves to sing and is an incredible artist for her age! She loves all kinds of arts and crafts and helping Nonnie or me bake in the kitchen. Truly, the most exciting thing that happened to Baileigh and our family last year, was her decision to acccept the Lord as her Savior. She was baptised by her Daddy on November 17th, 2002. While she still struggles (as all of us do) we've seen quite a change in her and can tell she is softening with each experience. She loves her little sister and they share such a bond! It makes her feel great when Macie's missed her while she was at school. She loves to chase Macie around and make her laugh. Baileigh also has lost 9 teeth and looks (as Papa said) "Like a punkin!" but they are growing back in. She's starting to clean him out! We're all considering pulling our teeth for a visit from Papa's wallet! :o) She lost her 7th tooth on her birthday, the 8th tooth the following Tuesday (3 days later) and the 9th one exactly one week after her birthday while playing in the tub. That's 3 teeth in one week! Fortunately she didn't have to suck on her favorite veggie at this year's State Fair...corn on the cob! Wanna read more about Baileigh? Her favorite word seems to be "Mommeeeeee" as she repeats it at least 2-3 times in a row and then says it some more! She's always looking for Daddy or Sissy and LOVES visits to Nonnie and Papa's to see Murphy, their Sheltie (or "Moosey" as she calls him!). He's always quite happy to see her too cause she gives him lots of "treats" (animal crackers). Macie eats some too while she's there. She has a mouthful of teeth and is quite a shrimp too! At a sick visit in mid-April, she weighed 23 lbs. She's only gained 2 1/4 pounds gain in 5 months!! She's pretty short too which lends itself nicely to the whole "shrimp" thing. She loves Baileigh, Elmo, Arthur, Wiggles, PB & J Otter, Rolie Poly Olie, Teletubbies, Clifford, Zaboomafoo, Dora (particularly Boots) and Barney but her FAVORITE of all is STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE!! She loves music, LOVES to sing and is generally a really happy and sweet kid. She gives kisses alot and loves to run under and between Mommy's legs. Her new found favorite activities are coloring and playing on her swingset and Baileigh's slide! She is quite the daredevil and prefers the big slide over the smaller one. She never fusses in the nursery at church and everyone comments on how well adjusted she is because she will just walk on in and play when we drop her off. She's always glad to see us come back though. She is a welcomed blessing and we all adore her!! She and Baileigh bring alot of joy to our lives.
