On January 13th, the Tri-Cities Speed Club, out of Cambridge, Ontario, ran a very successful inter-club meet. The Attendance was as high as the spirit of the skaters. Each skater contended in his or her respective category. After skating two distances each, skaters were placed in two-person relays based on their results. Mixing skaters of various ability and gender made for some tight and interesting finishes in all the categories, the most interesting being the Masters! To cap the 3 hour event, the organizers put together an open 20 lap race where skaters were staggered according to their ability.

The organizers of this event put a lot of energy and time into this event. This event gave many skaters the opportunity to test their skills in a competitively relaxed and fun atmosphere. It is always nice to see that there are some clubs and people willing to put something together for the skaters and those who support them. The next meet is scheduled for February 17th 2001.
