A. practice 9:00am to 10:30am B. practice 10:30am to 11:30 am This Sunday private party booking has been cancelled and the Scooter's Roller Figure Skating Club will not be using their club time. We will therefor open the doors at 8.30am. Happy Easter! March 17th 2008- Practices: There seems to be some confusion as to what are the remaining indoor practices. If a practice is not listed as cancelled then it is still on. This information is available on the TISC Hotline ph:647 831- 6364. By marking your calendars with information sent out by email, by going to the club website, by using the hotline, or checking the Club Communications binder which is placed next to the sign in sheet at each practice - there should no confusion as to what is happening. Please use these resources. IN REVIEW: Both today March 17th & Wednesday March 18th are 2 hour practices. Easter Sunday March 23rd, there is NO separate "B" practice. A combined A & B practice will be held from 8:00am to 9:30am. There is a Private Party booking beginning at 10:00am so we must exit the building a.s.a.p that morning. Monday March 24th & Wednesday March 26th are cancelled due to a film shoot at the rink. Sunday March 30th - Regular A & B Practice times. Monday March 31st & Wednesday April 2nd are 2 hour practices. Sunday April 6th- RSOIPS Final - Stage 4 9:00am - 10:30am. Doors open 8:30am. Club practice after the competition until 12:00 noon. Final Week of Indoor Speed: Monday April 7th & Wednesday April 9th are both 2 hour practices. Sunday A & B practices- usual times. TISC practices to begin - weather permitting Tuesday April 1st & Thursday April 3rd. At this time the 6:00 pm - 8:00pm Tuesday & Thursday practices will be held at Christ the King Catholic School 200m Track - 3672 Lakeshore Blvd. West, Etobicoke, M8W 1N6 . Check the hotline one hour before start time for any cancellation due to weather concerns. February 16th 2008- Sunday February 24th will be the 2nd stage of the RSO Indoor Points Series. Doors will open at 8:30am . Practice will follow after the completion of the race programme until 12pm. Each Monday practice from February 25th until April 7th will be two hours to make up for practices lost to the March Break cancellations. Monday February 25th will be a late start due to a private party- arrive at 8:30pm and practice will run from 9pm to 11pm. Sunday March 9th; Remember - Daylight Savings Change. Practices are cancelled on Monday March 10th & Wednesday March 12th due to public skating sessions in the March Break. Sunday March 16th will be the 3rd stage of the RSO Indoor Points Series. Doors will open at 8:30am and practice will follow after the completion of the race programme until 12pm. Sunday March 23rd- there will be no "B" programme due to a private party from 10am to 12pm. Sunday April 6th will be the 4th and final stage of the RSO Indoor Points Series. Doors will open at 8:30am and practice will follow after the completion of race programme until 12pm. February 6th 2008- Tonight's practice has been cancelled due to the winter storm. December 20th 2007: Practice Cancellations: Mon. Dec. 24 - (will be made up as an end of season - extension) Mon. Dec. 31 - (made up by adding 30mins to each of the following Monday practices- Jan 7, Jan 14 and 21). Regular Practice- Usual Practice will be held on Boxing Day Wednesday Dec 26th. Doors open at 9.00 & skate 9:30pm - 11:00pm. November 23rd 2007: December Practices Cancelled: Sunday 16th & Monday 24th. The time will be made up over the season. November 11th 2007: Due to private party bookings which take place at this time of the year and up to Christmas, Scooters, some practice times for us or being bumped or postponed to a later date or time made up by a half hour added to other Monday practices. Monday Practice Time Changes - Nov. 12 & Nov 19. Mon. Nov. 12 will be 9.00pm - 10.30pm Mon. Nov. 19 will be 9.30pm - 11.00pm As usual plan to arrive a half hour before practice start time to be changed and ready to "step on the floor" at the official practice start time. Scooter's Management allows us to arrive a half hour before practice start time to prepare the floor to our liking and also allows people to get changed and be ready. Please inform any Scooter"s staff on duty in the ticket office that you are "with the speed club" anytime you arrive. The half hour after our practice time is for pack up, getting changed and clearing the building. It cannot be used for extra practice time. Please leave the floor promptly when our practice ends. Exitting the building before the extra half hour is up is preferred. Your cooperation is expected and appreciated. Exception - Dryland Training on Sundays. Reminder: Sign In each time you skate a practice. The "sign in" sheet is on a clip board placed on the Pool Table. November 1st 2007: Indoor Practices Begin this Sunday! Don't forget the Daylight Savings Time change for this weekend. Move you clocks back 1 hour this Saturday evening. Our first practice will be Sunday November 4th 8:30 - 9.30am Sundays will have an emphasis on form and distance skating. Aaron Arndt will also hold dry-land training from 9:30am to 10:30am each Sunday. On Sundays, 9:30am to 10:30am will be for children, beginners and novice level skaters. Mondays 8:00pm to 9:30pm and Wednesdays 9:30pm to 11:00pm will be for advanced & elite level skaters only. March 22nd 2007- The make-up days; We lost two days due to March Break, and a Sunday before Christmas for a party, so we have arranged some extra days at Scooters: Sunday April 1st 8:00am to 9:30am (distance skate) and 9:30am to 10:30am (Novice program). Monday April 2nd 8:00pm to 9:30pm and Wednesday April 4th from 9:30pm to 11:00pm. The RSO Speed Series is this Sunday, March 25th. It's the last race of the season at Scooters. Doors open at 8:30pm, races start at 9am. The 'B' group practice will follow this at 11am. March 6th 2007- Remember daylight savings time starts this weekend! Reset your clocks on Saturday if you are planning to skate on Sunday. Next week is March Break, and Scooters are running public sessions every weekday evening. So there will be no club skates on Monday 12th and Wednesday 14th March. We'll re-schedule those days at a later time. February 2nd 2007- Practice Changes: Sunday February 18th is cancelled due to a private party booking. The 'make up' date will be Sunday April 1st...no joke! Sunday Febbruary 25th and Sunday March 25th are the RSO Indoor Points Series #3 & #4: Doors open at 8:30am , registration & check in until 9:00am,and races 9:05 to 11:00am. The 'B' Programme will be from 11:00am to 12:00 noon. January 20th 2007- The Sunday January 21st RSO Indoor Points Series Stage 2: Doors open at 8:30am and registration is at 8:35. Racing takes place from 9:00am to 11:00am. This is instead of the usual 'A' practice from 8:00am to 9:30am. This event offers everyone a chance to get race experience at a less serious level than the provincial or national championships. It is open to anyone. Everyone is placed into ability groups based on a time trial 200m / 300m (2 laps or 3 laps). Hope to see you there! For more information: www.geocities.com/rso_series 'B' Practice will be from 11:00am to 12:00pm on Sunday January 21st. Dryland will be offered at that time. Monday January 22nd practice will be 8:00pm to 10:00pm. As usual at each of our practices, plan to arrive one half hour before the official start time so that you are changed and ready to start on time. Starting Monday January 29th, practice is back to the usual time from 8:00pm to 9:30pm. December 30th 2006- Sunday December 31set 'A' & 'B' practice are as usual but NO Dryland. Monday January 1st practice is cancelled due to a public session being held for the school holidays. This 'missed' practice will be made up by adding a half hour to the Monday practices for: January 8th, 15th, & 22nd. Practice times for those dates will be 8:00pm to 10:00pm. December 7th 2006- On Sunday December 17 , the RSO Indoor Points Series #1 will take place from 9:00am to 11:00am. All A & B practice members are asked to participate and support this event. Further dates for the series race TBD. Depending on finish time of the Series #1 the remaining time will be for group distance training. 'B' practice will be from 11:00am to 12:00pm. No 'A' or 'B' practice will be held on December 25th. November 16th 2006- Cancellations: Unfortunately this is the time of year when private bookings are popular for Xmas parties etc so we have the following: Sunday November 19th- both 'A' & 'B' practices cancelled. Sunday December 3rd- No 'B' (9:30am - 10.30am practice. The 'A' practice (8.00 - 9.30am is on but no dryland afterwards. Scooter's management has asked that we clear the rink by 9.45am. Sunday December 10th- both 'A' & 'B ' practices cancelled. New Start Time Wednesdays: 9:30pm - 11:00pm - due to floor cleaning after the public sesssion:ending at 9:00pm. November 8th 2006- The Toronto Inline Skating Club will be having its Year End Party and Awards this Monday aat Scooter's. Practice will start at 8:30pm after the party. Come out to the party at 7:00pm and have fun! [information] October 20 2006- The Scooters Speed Club will begin its 2006-2007 season on November 1st. Practice days and times are Sundays (time tba), Mondays (8:00pm to 9:30pm), and Wednesdays (9:00pm to 10:30pm). Stay tuned for forms and more details regarding pricing and programming. April 12 2006- Tonight will be our last official practice of the 2005-2006 season. The Roller Sports Ontario Indoor Speed Championships will take place at our rink this Sunday. Click for more. March 21 2006- Indoor season at Scooters will end on Wednesday April 12th. Normally we finish the indoor season as of the last week in March, but this year we have extended the practices to April 12th due to cancellations throughout the season and the Ontario Indoor Provincial Championships. There are 8 regular practices and 3 "B" practices remaining in this season. Extend the Sunday "B" Programme? We are looking in to continuing the Sunday B programme for Beginner, Novice & Intermediate level skaters until June 26th. However we hope to hold it on Monday evenings from 7pm until 8pm instead of Sundays. More on this later. Remaining Practices- Note the following: Please arrive early enough to help take a turn in preparing the floor for our practices. Upcoming events at Scooter's: RSO Points Series Stage 4 will be Sunday March 19; The "B" practice will be 11:00am to 12:00 noon. RSO Points Series Stage 5 - Final will be Sunday April 2nd; The "B" practice will be 11:00 to 12:00 noon. The RSO Ontario Indoor Provincial Championships will take place on Sunday April 16th from 9:00am to 1:00pm at Scooter's Roller Palace. The Toronto Inline Skating Club (TISC) AGM will take place on Sunday March 19th from 1:00 to 4:00pm in the multi-purpose room at Clarkson Community Centre, same location as last year. February 9 2006- The RSO Points Series race is taking place THIS Sunday, NOT the 26th. Please help by informing your friends and inviting them out and encouraging fellow skaters to participate. There will be a practice after the racing is finished. February 4 2006- Tomorrow`s practice is cancelled. See you on Monday, and remember to show up early and ready for the OMNI TV filming. January 25 2006- January 29th (this Sunday) practice for the original 'A' group is moved back to the old time (8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.). We must clear the building by 10am as requested by Scooters as they have a private party booked. The Fitness practice for the 'B' that normally would run 9:30 to 10:30 is cancelled for the 29th (this Sunday). January 10 2006- There will be no practice this Sunday. Instead, the RSO Speed Points Series is taking place. Doors will open at 8:00am. Your support is extremely important for the series to continue being successful and to continue to grow! All racing is in ablilty groups, so you can be sure that each race will be a ton of fun to participate in as well to wacth. Bring you family and friends to cheer on the skaters. December 22 2005- HOLIDAY PRACTICE SCHEDULE: Sunday December 25th and Monday December 26th practices are cancelled. Wednesday December 28th practice is at 9:00pm and Sunday January 1st practice: Doors open 7:30am, skate A 8:00-9:30 (advanced and elite), B 9:30-10:30 (kids, beginner, & intermediate). Monday January 2nd practice is cancelled. December 16 2005- Our first extended practice for Children,Novice and Intermediate will happen this Sunday December 18th. Please come out and join us with friends and family so we have the numbers for this extended activity:Regular Practice- Doors Open 7:30, Practice 8:00- 9:30 , Children/ Novice/ Intermediate: 9:30-10:30 December 6 2005- December 11th practice will be at the proposed new time:- doors open at 7.30am & practice starts at 8:00am to finish at 9:30am. The rink must be cleared by 10.00am due to a private party booking. All Sunday morning practices for the Advanced & Elite levels will be at this new time unless otherwise notified. Dec. 11th New Beginner, Children, Novice & Intermediate Sunday Programme start has been postponed until December 18th. The programme will be extended into early April so that the full plan can be completed. November 22 2005- Great news; there is a dedicated time for beginner, novice, and intermediate skaters on Sundays from 9:30am to 10:30am. The Advanced/ Elite practice is now 8:00am to 9:30am. November 16 2005- Club Practice Changes: Sunday November 20th: Early start 8:30 to 10.00am. Doors open at 8:00am. Sunday November 27th: Practice cancelled due to a Private Party. Make up time will be used the following Sunday December 4th with the RSO Indoor Points Series Stage 1. Sunday December 4th: RSO Indoor Points Series Stage 1- Doors open 8:30am and registration 8:35 to 9.00am. Competition warm up begins at 9.00am and the event ends at 12:00pm. 2004 Challenge trophies & Awards to be presented. The Challenge trophy recipients will keep it until Stage 1, 2007. March 20 2005- The last Scooter's practice of the 2004-2005 season will take place on Wednesday March 30th. March 7 2005- Due to a private party, tonight's practice will have a start time of 9:00pm. Please arrive after 8:30pm. March 3 2005- The practice on Sunday March 6th will not take place due to the Roller Sports Ontario Indoor Championships. Doors will open at 7:45am on Sunday for the race. December 13th, practice is from 8:30pm to 10:15pm; Enter the rink at 8:00pm and Monday December 20th, practice is from 8:00pm to 9:45pm.
