| Bring your skates and helmet. Other than that, make sure you've got a water bottle, apporpriate and comfortable clothing- you'll be sweating lots! Don't forget the other protective equipment that you like to wear. You might want to bring a skate tool too just in case. You can expect the instructional program run by cerfitied coaches who have tons of experience and by experienced skater volunteers. The program is focused on pack skills because you'll be skating with a group of skaters. You can also expect speed, fun, technique (how to skate), fitness, fun, and agility. Did we also mention fun? MONDAYS AND WEDNESDAYS These days are reserved for skaters with experience: advanced and elite level skaters. The program will be geared to racing, pack skills, technique, strategy, and increasing fitness. SUNDAYS There will be a learn to speed skate program. After that, there is a group distance skate. There will be a skate leader for the distance skates and music will be played over the sound system. The advanced and elite group will have the option of doing some dry land exercises at this time: this will be coordinated at a later time. |
