The Fall of Tara
~The Last Days of The Bright Palace~
The Last Days of Tara were marked by two events. The 22nd birthday of Tara's prince Flynn Mac Airt, and the complete destrution of Tara itself. It all really begun the night of Flynn's birthday. The occupants of Tara had let their guard down and were celebrating the prince's birthday. That is when the alarm went out. The few guards that were posted noticed the Dark Ireland coming down from the hillside. A large force, all headed by Bricriu and the Morganna. They swarmed the gates in a fury of darkness and savagery. The soldiers of Tara took up arms as fast as the could and began the long Battle of Tara. Many men were lost on both sides, Bricriu and the morganna were destroyed, but not before they had burnt Tara to the ground.
