You decide to continue along not wanting to run into the creature you think is following you. The sound of the waterfall up ahead gets louder as you move closer to it. Finally you wind up at the foot of the falls. They are huge, forming a large pool where they splash into. at the top of the falls two creatures stand at the end of a large ledge looking down at you. upon closer inspection you can make out that the creatures are in fact two large wolves. Using your enhanced vision (if you have it) you can make out the wolves perfectly (click on thumbnails).
The wolves eye you carefully but donot make a move. They are obviously posted as guards of some sort and you cant help but wonder to yourself "what exactly are they guarding?" You see a small path to the right of the falls leading higher up and in behind the falls themselves. Again you are faced with a choice, go up the path or turn around and run.
