The Wolf and the Dove
Kathleen Woodiwiss
When her home is attatcked by Normans, she thought she'd never be the same again. Her father killed and her mother on the verge of insanity now at witnessing the carnage, she thought she had no hope.
Then came Wulfgar. He was a proud and hard man, telling her plainly he would love no woman and he'd not ever put a woman on any sort of pedestal, she had her work cut out for her. But seeing him as a just leader and not the killer of her people that the first intruders had been, she could give him a place inside her heart.
Through the torments of jealousy and hatred they must overcome to just survive, much less start a new life.
