(re-release) Whitney, My Love
The re-released version of Whitney, my love lived up to its expectations. The story still follows it's previous line with only slight changes in the original script, until you get to the end.
Whitney is a head strong young girl whose father is fed up with her antics. To make her the lady she's supposed to be , he turns her over to her aunt and uncle who live in Paris. From there she transforms into the highlight of the Paris season.
Though she gets many requests for marriage, she only wants to return home to prove to her childhood love that she can be the woman he desires. The only catch is that she's already, unknowingly, betrothed to the Duke of Claymore, Clayton Westmoreland! She's met him a few times before, though only remembers once when they were at a masquerade and he had the nerve to make a vulgar pass at her! So when their new neighbor Clayton Westland starts making advances for her, she denies him his persuit defiantly!
Only does she learn of her predicament when her "love" Paul proposes to her !
From one hair raising scene to the next you never know what Whitney and Clayton will do. They keep each other on their toes and even reading it a second time, I still want to kick Clayton in the rump for his temper!!!! The new ending gives plenty of opening for the other Westmoreland story of Stephen, in Until You and even Nicki's short story called Miracles (found in combination with Jude Deveraux in the book entitled Simple Gifts) You can also find the "first" Westmoreland story called Kingdom of Dreams.
