Saving Grace
Widowed at 16, Lady Johanna isn't wanting to wed again after her auful first marriage. Yet her brother wants her too, to his friend who is a Laird of the clans MacBain's and Maclaurin's. After King John starts interferring with her life, she feels it's probably a good idea to go ahead with the match.
What she finds is a huge man who is also very handsome, and who she can't possibly stay with !
But Gabriel would have none of that, he'd done decided that she would be his bride for with her came the land that they lived on.
Only through gentle persuasion and building trust are the two able to overcome the obstacles that might keep them apart. But Johanna soon learns that the gruff man whom she married is a lot more than he appears to be. More than just a rough outer shell, but a tender inside that tempts her to fall in love with him.
As good as any Garwood novel with humor and lightness and depth that keep you riveted to the story.
highly recommended. :)
