Passion's Ransom
When lovely Blythe Woolrich is kidnapped by a pirate that thinks she's worth money, she's beset with worries about what they'll do when they find out she's not. Her family has been going penniless for the past few years, and she's been battling a black-hearted merchant to just keep their mercantile up and running.
Raider Prescott had his own ideas about what she was worth, and vowed that she'd be returned in the state she was taken in. But when it becomes obvious that no one is going to pay her ransom, there is only one thing she has that he wants as payment.
A fantasic story that will keep you going. You really feel for Blythe as she battles her addle-patted family and the frustrations she has to face being a woman in the mercantile business in 1778. I definately recommend it.
