When young Henry finds out that her new ward is coming to her home, she wants desperately to get him to want to leave. It's the only way she can think of to be able to stay there and keep the estate running too. but she never expected someone so young, strong, or particularly handsome! When she sees that Dunford is not a London dandy, but a powerful man, it sets her heart to racing and her pulse to pounding and her mind to a total blank!
When Dunford finds out that the spirited Henry is actually his ward, he feels like the mangiest man for had setting thoughts about her! Now he must take her to London to have a season and to see if she can find a suitable husband....surely that's the right thing to do.....isn't it? But when he sees the gentlemen haggling over her hand and paying her compliments, it makes him see red and turn into an unthinking fool.
The spirits of these two are wonderful and Henry is a delight to watch blossom in front of Dunford. He's a piece of work to and you can't help but feel sorry for him at times!
