Cumin Steak with Rajas

Rajas are a type of stewed chili pepper. In Mexico they are traditionally served with different broiled meats.

2 Servings

Ingredients:
1 large (about 8 ounces) 1 1/4-inch-thick New York steak
1 tsp. ground cumin
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
Rajas

Directions:
Preheat broiler. Season steak generously with salt and pepper. Rub both sides of steak with cumin and cayenne pepper.
Broil to desired doneness, about 3 minutes per side for medium-rare. Transfer to platter and serve with Rajas.
