Assign Grades

This FOCUS program will create batch transactions in order to assign a default grade for a course section within a given enrollment term. The update can be verified using SIS screen SP1 (for a student) or 1G7 (for a course). This process is most useful with "continuing education" type courses. That is, 99% of the students are awarded a grade of "S". The program code provided does accommodate the other 1%. That is, you can enter in student ids for those who will not receive the default grade. Naturally, this process works for classes where nearly all of the students receive the same grade. For those classes where there are a lot of "other" grades, it is best to enter in those via the SIS grading cycle.
