These
FOCEXECs will generate a master schedule that the public
information office can use for official publications. The
results are broken out by campus, then alphabetically by
course. In the file, the break indicator between multiple
sites (if this is the case) is a blank line. Once the
program is ran, you can use software like WS-FTP to copy
the resulting files to the PC. The processing is
done in two parts. First, the appropriate course
information (day or evening) is gathered and then this
data is "formatted" to create a
"professional" looking (one that doesn't look
like it came from a computer) course schedule. Now I know
the SIS system includes a program called RBA120 that does
the same thing but you know how "picky" folks
can get when it comes to publishing information for the
public. :-) In addition, as you will see in the program
code, I included only one copy of the FOCEXEC that does
the "formatting" since it performs the same
function irregardless of the type of courses (day or
evening). |
