
| This FOCUS program lists all of the students who are considered to be "overawarded". That is, those whose awarded financial aid is more than their official "need". This can occur when one makes a change to their financial aid records after they have been awarded. For example, they overstated their family size, income, etc. As a result, their financial aid "need" is reduced (or {gasp} they could become ineligible). This report will catch those so the data can be corrected locally before the information is reported to the Department of Education, which frowns upon "overawarding". |
