Drop Student Process

These FOCUS programs generate batch transactions to drop the registered courses of students who have not paid their bills on time. The following types of students are excluded : those whose account balances are below the specified minimum, those who are receiving financial aid (indicated by a transaction subcode of 79999 & 99999), and those who do not owe a returned check (hold flag #23). First, a list is run for the accounting office so they can check it. We wouldn't want to drop someone really "important" (like the student whose father is golf partner with the president). Be sure to use these programs to run this procedure. When the list has been verified, the next FOCEXEC creates batch transactions to remove the courses of these offending students. One more note, although the courses are "officially" dropped, they are retained in SIS. This allows quick "re-entry" if any "mistakes" are found.
