Web Data Upload

This FOCEXEC and COBOL procedure will upload admission information entered on a web based form into SIS. Check out this case study for information on my theory behind using COBOL in conjunction with FOCUS. The COBOL program takes this data and creates SIS batch transactions that are loaded into the on-line system through the batch maintenance cycle. One accompanying FOCUS program creates a file to check for possible duplicates while another one determines the new student ids to use.
