"The Loner" by Erick Pierce The loner life. It's quite alright. I tend to it everyday. What you see, Is what you get. That's all I have to say. Hours pass. Seconds fly. Who am I to complain? I play guitar. I converse online. Do you think I'm insane? I wish you were here, it gets kind of dull. I stare with a blank eye. I sit alone, search deep in my soul. Me, myself, and I. I wonder aloud. I think to myself. Thoughts traversing this way and that. The night has come. I walk to my bed, And snuggle up next to my cat. Dreams fill my vision, As I drift deep into sleep. Sensations filled with pure color. I wake up the next morning, I remember nothing of my dreams. Another day of nothingness, yet there is no other. I wish you were here, it gets kind of dull. I stare with a blank eye. I sit alone, search deep in my soul. Me, myself, and I. I am not what you think. I am what you think. I am not what I say. I am what I say. Love me. Hate me. I am what I am. I am the loner.
