PROCEEDINGS OF THE RESEARCH COMMITTEE

2004-2005

1.    21 November 2004

Introductory Lecture by Dr Muhammad Munir Hasan

    2.    05 December 2004

                  More Introduction

    3.    02 January 2005       Scientific Importance of Believing in Allah

    4.    06 February 2005    To Understand the Meaning of the Word “Aalameen”

The word “Aalameen” relates to the creations of the world only. It has

no reference to the creations outside this world.

    5.    06 March 2005         Meanings of the Words “Sama” and “Samawat”

    6.    03 April 2005           (continued)

    7.    01 May 2005            (continued)

“Sama” means the blue sky above our heads with heights as low as the clouds and anything above it. The word also refers to the group of  “Samawat”.   “Samawat are reachable distances. Either they relate to the atmosphere of the earth or  the solar system, and not beyond that.

    8.    05 June 2005            Meaning of the Word “Burooj”

No clue is given in the Qur’an about this word. These may be visible or invisible things. If visible, they may relate to the planets of our solar system. If invisible, this topic is to be discussed in a subsequent meeting.

    9.    03 July 2005             Meaning of the Words “Yaum”, “Yaumein” and

“Ayyam” with reference to the creation of ‘Samawat”

                                   and “Ard”.

   10.   07 August 2005        (continued)

“Yaum” refers to a certain period of undefined duration. Existing seven theories on creation of solar system do not give any clue to these periods. A new theory has to be developed in terms of the periods of “Yaum” and “Yaumein”.

Whether or not the periods of “one thousand years” and “fifty thousands years” mentioned in the Qur’an refer to the creation of  Earth is yet to be discussed.

    11.   04 September 2005    To understand more about “Sama-ad-Dunya”

in terms of “Kawakib”, “Masabeeh” and “Hifza”

                                      (meaning protection).

    12.    02 October 2005       (Continued)

As we have seen earlier in the 7th session (01 May 2005), Samawat are reachable distances, Sama-ad-Dunya, which is nearest to earth, most probably relates to the clouds. Masabeeh may refer to the charged particles. For the explanation of Shahab-e-Saqib, Kawakib and Hifza more deliberations are required.

    13.    13 November 2005    To deliberate on the research so far carried out on

“Bee Honey” as explained in verses 16/68-69 of the

                                     Holy Qur’an.

Most of the research being carried out on Bee Honey throughout the world is either professional or scientific research with no relation to the clues given in the Qur’an. There is a necessity to start new research taking guidance from the clues given in the Qur’an.

    14.     04 December 2005    A New Approach for the Treatment of Cancer

(A presentation by Dr Mohammad Munir Hasan,

                                                     Managing Trustee of the Trust)

Dr Mohammad Munir Hasan presented his hypothesis which was initially proposed in

1988 in an International Symposium held at Karachi. This paper was later published

in the Journal of the Institution of Electrical Engineers, Pakistan. Technical comment

were then invited from a number of researchers and research organizations

worldwide including WHO, International Agency For Research on Cancer, France,

and  National Institute of Health, USA who appreciated this new approach. The

research could not be carried out due to non-availability of research sponsorship.
