Introduction

The Holy Qur’an is a complete book from Allah for all times. It deals with all individual and collective aspects of the human life such as social, cultural, moral, economic, political, legal and others. Apart from this the scientific topics are mentioned at so many places and with such a sophistication that for those who care to understand the Qur’an appears to be a most modern source of scientific knowledge and research. However, these scientific topics are not discussed in a textbook-like manner, and are presented as signs in such a manner that a deep thinking and research is required to fully understand them.

It is felt that apart from a few persons throughout the muslim world who in their own personal capacity are deliberating on the scientific issues set forth by the Qur’an, no organization perhaps has been established to organize such research. This Trust. which has been established to work at international level, will not only deliberate on the scientific issues highlighted by the Holy Qur’an, but also promote, organize and, wherever needed, sponsor such Qur’anic scientific research to be carried out in the universities and other research institutions worldwide. The Trust also intends to establish a university or institution of its own to carry out research in line with the objectives of the Trust.
