A little bit of general info:
Now on to how this relates to our classroom
Way, way back in the back of a fairly large classroom in the Vocational Technology building at South Carroll High School is a much smaller room. The room is painted black - it used to be a bathroom but was then turned into a darkroom. In this little room is a 10-gallon aquarium, filled to the brim with 70 degree water and layered on the bottom with marbles. Along with the water and marbles and necessary filtering devices, are 14 little zebra danios. Our Science Research classes are taking part in breeding the fish. "Yay", you may retort sarcastically. This science actually helps to further our students' knowledge in such areas as reproduction, deformities, and the like. Since zebra danio embryos are clear, it is quite possible to see through them to the fish forming inside. And heck, we've got so many other fish in the room, we may as well add some more!
