Side one of this totally-rad-underground-scene-thrash split contains new tracks by new york's Project Grizzly (members of No Time Left). Very reminiscient of Brutal Truth (their good stuff, that is), Project Grizzly is for fans of dirty, thrashy, medium paced grind with vocals that alternate from low growls to odd high pitched yells. Plenty of dance parts make this a fun side to dance to. "AIDS Birthright Blues" dominates the side. Good for straight up grind fans.
Someone once told me that Dood was the next Spazz. Well, that's not too far off, but this 7" side is defiantely more fun & catchy than anything Spazz wrote (and i'm a big fan of spazz). Basically, it's the music of Spazz, that west coast thrash full of blast beats, but add in probably around 4 different sets of vocals, all with hilarious lyrics, and you have Dood. Favorite song? Easy, it's "Watch The Clones Dance", but their cover of Agnostic Front's "Friend Or Foe" is absolutely crazy.
Get this if you like Brutal Truth, Spazz, grind, or west coast thrash. in my opinion, it's a must have. The Dood side is too good.
"Dood, keepin' it real in the seven one sick!"
