The first full length from this fast coming acoustic punk act is one that has been hyped by many. Against Me combines almost Clash-ish punk rock with an acoustic lead guitar, mixed together with some folk-punk melodies and highly political, anarchist lyrics. Normally, I'm not one for anarchy punk, but these lyrics are pretty smart. Good tracks include "Pints Of Guinness Make You Strong", "We Laugh At Danger", and "Walking Is Still Honest", with catchy guitars and big, raw, sing-along vocals. One thing you must understand about this CD though, is that it takes a good while to get into. When I first bought it, I would have said it was a waste of $10. Now, it very well could be one of the better CDs I own. I would definitely recommend this for fans of older Clash material or folk-punk fans. It is, also, an essential crust & anarchy disc.
