Upon first listen, you may very well be bored to tears. However, I ask that you at least sit through 4 full plays. If you don't like a little bit of this after 4 plays, then you're obviously a Pearl Jam fan. It's kinda hard to describe the sound of these guys. Definitely combining elements of hardcore, emo, and metal, i'd say they converge somewhere around a semi-heavy, screamy, distorted emo. Dare i say "screamo"? After you plug this record in, you won't instantly be sold. It sounds much to bland to make a huge impression. Yet if you give it a chance, you can pick out some great guitar parts, and catchy rythyms. It's relatively slow tempo means that you have to listen with patience, but don't feel bad if you blank out during a song, they all have the same basic sound. I won't tell you to rush out and buy this one, but if you're into slowed-down heavy emo with some crazy guitar parts, pick it up. And again, give it a try. "Second Cousin" is the best song off of here, try listening to that, and make your decision.
