well i think this band is poised to make money and play in big ugly arenas after the success of the new album (burn, piano island, burn), and that is dissappointing. it is a hell of a lot of fun to see these guys with their erratic basslines, off-key singing/screaming dual vocals, bouncing bodies, and tight t-shirts, but the shows would lose a lot of appeal without the righteous feel of communal sweating.
the only drawback to their shows is that the musical prowess and ingenuity of the band (which makes them stand out from most of the rest of the hardcore community) is a little difficult to detect live. but if you are going to complain about the lack of cd-quality audio at a hardcore show, you should probably shut up and go listen to radiohead.
