Artwork of David Gaus
Help a poor old man earn a few pennies by selling his cherished art treasures, some of which are hand-made or have minor historical significance. Some may also have some added resale value because of the notoriety the artist gained during his wild bohemian youth
I plan to produce the puzzle at left as a numbered series, signed and dated by the artist/craftsman.
So far I have produced one puzzle, which is up for sale.
Like the internet puzzle on the preceding page, the Thirteen Leaves Puzzle chalenges elementary reasoning. The first challenges one's ability to tell white from black. This one challenges one's ability to count to thirteen.
There are thirteen leaves on side A. (I've distorted the image in the screen at left slightly to deter anyone who might thik of reproducing the puzzle by printing it from the internet.)
When you turn the dial, one leaf disappears and relocates itself to the other side of the puzzle. When you turn the puzzle over, and turn the dial again, one leaf disappears from side B and goes back to side A.
If anyone would like to buy this puzzle from me, I'll explain to the new owner how both puzzles work.
I'm not sure how much to charge for No. 1 in the series, probably less than $25. If interested, call
me at 317 523- 6943.
Cold War memorabilia.

During the Cold War, the main enemy may have been in Moscow, but part of the action, as far as I was concerned, involved science, CBS, the Chicago business establishment, and the Taft family of Ohio.
My battle was fought with posters which I displayed on the circle in downtown Indianapolis. I still have the posters, which I offer for sale.
While most of them aren't really artistic masterpieces, others turned out fairly well as minor art.  All items may be of interest to a select elite because of the context of the events of the time; some of the posters helped shape national events.to a certain extent.
If nothing else, they illustrate that one can tell one's story to the public effectiely without going on TV.
