I have to say, I was not a huge fan of Farscape's third season. It hads its ups and downs, but didn't strike me overall as great. I actually stopped watching during the fourth and final season, which is kindof a shame, maybe one day I'll make the effort to see the episodes I missed. But anyway, one of the new characters introduced in season 3 was Jool here. She was pretty annoying, but I decided she warranted a figure!
The Zhaan figure released in Toy Vault's Farscape range was essentially a naked figure, which made her the perfect base. I was able to build up this outfit in stages with milliput and twisty ties. I initially worked from memory, then looked up some pictures and realised I had quite a lot I needed to add, but in the end she worked out ok...luckily this was all before I got very far with the figure. I was pretty stumped with how to do her mound of hair...in the end I decided on unravelling a hefty load of wool, and planted it, in little clumps, into a blob of miliput which formed the top of her hair, then spread it all out, and I think its really quite effective. I used two different shades of orange as well, which I think was quite a good idea if I do say so myself. She's not 100% accurate, but I'm really happy with how she ended up! |
