I loved the old Playmates Star Trek figures, and I was really pleased when they released the Next Generation crew in the most up to date uniform. They'd released the DS9 crew in a larger scale, but sadly never got as far as adding their modern incarnations to this line!
So I decided to do something about that, and started this little "season 8" project loosely based on the books that continue the story, but so far have not got beyond these two characters. So here we have Ezri, the latest host of the Dax symbiont, brought in at the start of the shows seventh season after Terry Farrell's departure and the death of her character Jadzia. My Dax here is made from a Deanna Troi figure from the final batch of Next Gen figures made. I shortenned her hair, cutting most of it away, and resculpted the fringe, then repainted the grey area, as I didn't really like the shade of paint they used, also adding the spots down the neck, which I guess you can't really see in this picture but oh well! I'm contemplating painting her undershirt red, as she now holds a command post in the books, but for now I'll leave it like this! |
