Chad's Summary: An incredible discovery leads O'Neill and Carter back to -- icy, cold -- Antarctica along with Teal'c, Quinn, and Dr. Fraiser. A woman frozen in a block of ice, possibly millions of years ago, is found by the team sent to the arctic after O'Neill and Carter's life and death situation five years earlier. [See: Solitudes] The woman is alive, and she is thawed out. Later, Quinn attempts to talk with her. Dr. Osborne (Bruce Harwood) and Dr. Woods (Paul Perri) are trapped in an ice storm. O'Neill and Teal'c go in search for them. Carter and Fraiser theorize that the current state of human evolution is not the first time that humans evolved on Earth, Thereby, the woman may be an Ancient -- a member of the race who built the Stargate Network. The human race and the Ancients may be one in the same. Dr. Osborne returns, to the base, with core samples from the ice. Meanwhile, Dr. Michaels (Venus Terzo) and Dr. Osborne come down with an illness. O'Neill and Teal'c finds, an ill, Dr. Woods. Ayiana (Ona Grauer) cures the Ancient illness afflicting Dr. Michaels, Osborne, and Woods. Meanwhile, O'Neill, Carter, Quinn, and Fraiser contract the illness. Except for O'Neill, Ayiana cures the ill. Ayiana passes away. A Tok'Ra named Torrin (Dorian Harewood) arrives with an offer to save O'Neill that he may well refuse. In a final effort to remain alive, O'Neill must blend with a Tok'Ra named Kanan who has valuable information for the Tok'Ra. In a stasis pod, O'Neill goes through the Stargate to a Tok'Ra world.
