Chad's Summary: An asteroid is on a collision course with Earth endangering all people on the planet. After the Asgard refuse to help in a timely manner -- without violating The Protected Planets Treaty with the Goa'uld, SG-1 is dispatched to Revanna to repair the crashed Cargo Ship [See: Summit & Last Stand ] in order to launch a weapon powerful enough to destroy the asteroid. The plan is to set a nuclear bomb enhanced with Naquadah to destroy the asteroid. Then, SG-1 will leave the area and head back to Earth. Dr, Fraiser, Sgt. Harriman, and Major Davis evacuate to the Alpha Site, however, General Hammond remains behind at the SGC. In space suits, O'Neill and Teal'c place the bomb deep in a cavern of the asteroid. After initiating the countdown to explosion, they vacate the area. The ship is taking meteor hits, thus, Carter and Jackson must take refuge in the descent pods while O'Neill and Teal'c return to the ship. They must repair the hull breaches, made by the meteors, before Carter and Jackson can leave the safety of the descent pods. The team can not allow the bomb to explode, because the asteroid is composed of Naquadah. Still in space suits, O'Neill and Teal'c go to disarm the bomb. After O'Neill attempts to deactivate the bomb, by cutting wires, the bomb clock reaches zero -- the device does not go off. The device had been damaged as a result of the meteor shower. Carter devises a plan to extend the ship's hyperspace field around the asteroid, and then fly the asteroid through the planet thus saving Earth. Carter's plan is successful, and SG-1 is then picked up by a Tok'Ra Scout Ship.
