Chad's Summary: SG-1 is assigned to train four cadets, including Jennifer Haley, as possible SG team members. Their first training mission ends in disaster when Daniel playing the part of an evil Goa'uld kills SG-1 and the cadets using Entars. A second training operation ends in more disaster when Haley is ordered by Lt. Elliot (Courtenay J. Stevens) to leave a fake bomb active, and a cadet named Grogan (David Kopp) dies as a result of the fake explosion. A Foothold situation develops at the SGC which is actually a training exercise designed to test the cadets ability to work as a team. On several occasions, the cadets get close to finding out the truth about the situation at hand Lt. Haley is in on the fictitious foothold situation helping keep the others in the dark as to the truth. The test is revealed, but Haley is hurt and Elliot goes to help her. He later discovers that Haley's injury is only part of yet another test which he passes with flying colors. Elliot is assigned to SG-17 under the command of Major Mansfield after a few days of much needed rest.

Actor Notes:
Grace Park plays the regular role of Lt. Sharon "Boomer" Valeri on Battlestar Galactica (2003 to present). She appeared as the Sexy Bridesmaid in The Dead Zone (2002 to present) episode "Speak Now." On Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda (2000 to 2005), Park portrayed the role of Doctor 26 Carol in the episode "Machinery of the Mind." On Jake 2.0 (2003 to 2004), she appeared in the recurring role of Fran Yoshida in four episodes. The episodes are as follows: "Last Man Standing," "Middleman," "Foley," and "Upgrade." On Dark Angel (2000 to 2002), Park played the role of Female Breeding X5 in the episode "Designate This." In The Outer Limits (1995 to 2002) episode "Time to Time," she appeared as Satchko. On The Immortal (2000 to 2001), Park portrayed the recurring role of Mikiko in five episodes of the series. The episodes are as follows: "Demons of the Night" Part 1, "Wicked Wicked West," "Replay," "Deja Vu," and "Kiyomi."
Courtenay J. Stevens appeared as Billy in The Sentinel (1996 to 1999) episode "The Girl Next Door." Stevens portrayed the role of Teen in the M.A.N.T.I.S. (1994 to 1995) episode "The Delusionist."
David Kopp portrayed the role of Blake in the horror movie Freddy Vs. Jason (2003). On the TV series Night Visions (2001), Kopp appeared as Chuck In the episode "Rest Stop."
