Chad's Summary: The year is 2010, and many changes have occurred. SG-1 and the SGC have been disbanded. General Hammond has passed away. Dr. Fraiser is in private practice. Carter has a romantic relationship with Ambassador Joseph Faxon (Christopher Cousins). They are trying to have a baby. A mission in the year 2001 caused these vast and far reaching changes. On that mission, SG-1 meet the Aschen -- a technologically advanced race -- who are willing to share their knowledge with Earth. After some tests, Dr. Fraiser discovers that Carter can not have children. Further, Carter discovers that almost the entire population of Earth is sterile. The condition is caused by an Aschen vaccine against all illnesses which also extends the human life span. However, the side effect of sterility is an ultimately deadly trade off. At what was supposed to be a celebration dinner, Carter, Jackson, Teal'c, and Dr. Fraiser hatch a plan to use the Stargate to send a message back in time to the year 2001. Carter tries to enlist O'Neill's help in the plan, however, he is reluctant to join the team. O'Neill has second thoughts about his decision and joins the mission to save the world yet again. Each Member of the team writes a cryptic letter warning their past counterparts not to go to P4C--970 -- the Aschen home planet. Using Aschen technology, Carter predicts the next solar flare to send the letter back in time. All members involved in hatching the plan take part in getting O'Neill's letter through the Stargate and back in time. Back in the year 2001, the letter gets through the gate, because SG-1's IDC was used which surprised all the people in the Gate Room. As the note instructs, planet P4C--970 is locked out of the dialing computer.
