Chad's Summary: When Daniel Jackson finds out about the death of his archaeology professor Dr. Jordan (David Abbott), he attends the funeral. Daniel meets up with his former love Sarah (Anna--Louise Plowman), and a former archaeology friend Steven Rayner (Ben Bass). The rest of SG-1 are granted leave. O'Neill and Teal'c go on a fishing trip while Carter remains on the base to complete some work. Meanwhile, a gold amulet goes missing from Dr. Jordan's office. Daniel goes in search of the amulet, however, he finds the Isis Jar which has Goa'uld symbols placed down the middle of the jar. He calls Carter who is working on a motor cycle with Sgt. Siler. Then, Daniel calls Teal'c for help in translating the symbols on the jar. General Hammond orders the contents of the Isis Jar analyzed. Daniel informs Hammond that a second jar -- the Osiris Jar -- may exist which could have been destroyed. Carter discovers a Goa'uld Parasite within the Isis Jar. Dr. Fraiser pronounces the parasite dead and begins an autopsy with Carter observing. The jar is a stasis chamber for the parasite. Daniel believes that Rayner is a Goa'uld. Meanwhile, Hammond realizes that a Goa'uld may be running free on Earth. Jackson, Carter, and Fraiser go to Egypt in search of Rayner. Rayner enters an Egyptian temple and uses the amulet to open a secret door where he finds a Goa'uld Ribbon Device. They find Rayner on the temple floor. He is not a Goa'uld, however, Sarah is the Goa'uld Osiris. Osiris attacks Jackson, Carter, and Fraiser. An argument ensues between Jackson and Osiris. Osiris uses the hand device on Daniel, and he injects her with a tranquilizer dart. Osiris escapes in a Goa'uld ship.
