Chad's Summary: SG-1 gates to a world with a possible connection to the planet that Ernest Littlefield was stranded on in 1945. The planet may be the home to a race of aliens who are friends to the Asgard. An alien device grabs a hold of Col. O'Neill's head. After the device releases him, the team returns to Earth. Dr. Fraiser examines him, and she can find nothing wrong with O'Neill. At a mission debriefing, O'Neill becomes increasingly impatient and begins speaking in an alien language. Daniel thinks he is speaking Medieval Latin and discovers that O'Neill can read the alien language from Ernest's planet. After some tests, Dr. Fraiser realizes that O'Neill's brain is operating at 90% of maximum. O'Neill inputs new Stargate addresses into the base's computer. He loses the ability to speak English. Daniel believes that the people who built the Stargate system, the Ancients, also put their language into O'Neill's head. Part of SG-1 go in search of answers on a planet with similar writings. Using a computer, O'Neill tells Jackson that he needs to go through the Stargate. O'Neill builds a strange device. Carter and Teal'c get stranded on the planet which has two suns. Jackson informs O'Neill about the dangerous situation, and O'Neill finds a solution. O'Neill attaches the device he made to the Stargate power grid fixing a power shortage problem. The gate begins to dial out, automatically, to a planet that is so far away that the gate uses eight chevrons to connect to it. O'Neill goes through the gate. Arriving at his destination, the Asgard remove the Ancient's language from O'Neill's mind. The Asgard tell him that the human species has the potential to become the fifth race in an alliance that opposes the Goa'uld. Jack O'Neill returns home.
