Chad's Summary: SG-1 returns home with an orb from an alien moon. An X-Ray test causes an EM spike in the orb. They plan to return the orb to the moon, but it does not want to go. The orb pins O'Neill to the wall. Teal'c fires his staff weapon at the orb twice, and the energy is transferred to O'Neill. Carter and Jackson try to find out what the orb is. Carter and Dr. Fraiser discover that the orb is spreading a virus. Antibiotics help control the virus in all but one case. Carter has a radical idea to starve the virus by lowering the amount of oxygen on the base. Jackson discovers that the orb is trying to communicate. In a reversal that makes General Hammond question her ideas, Carter suggests that O'Neill be taken of his medication so that he can act as the voice of the virus. After a conversation, O'Neill is freed and the orb is sent to a primordial world.
