Plot Outline:

Teal'c is put on trial (Cor—Ai) for a crime he committed as Apophis' first prime. O'Neill plans to break him out of prison; however, Teal'c wants to face the charges. The planet's culture believes that Teal'c is guilty until proven innocent. Another cultural aspect of the planet is that the victim's offspring, in this case his son, is also the judge. The team must defend Teal'c in a trial that carries the penalty of death. Teal'c admits his guilt, because he wants to take responsibility for all his crimes while in service to Apophis. Teal'c killed Hanno's (David McNally) father because he would have slowed down the group in an escape attempt from the Goa'uld. Teal'c killed one person to save many. O'Neill and Carter return to Earth for reinforcements. Hanno decides that Teal'c should die. General Hammond does not want to involve the U.S. in another planet's justice system. O'Neill and Carter return to the planet to find a Goa'uld force overtaking the village. Teal'c fights to protect the people from the Goa'uld and is injured in the process. Hanno realizes that Teal'c is a changed man and lets him return to Earth with the team. à Plot Outline by Chad C.
