Plot Outline:

In a briefing, Daniel Jackson states that there may be two sets of gods who controlled the Stargate. The evil Goa’ulds and the peaceful gods based on the Viking mythology of Earth (the peaceful gods would later, in the series, become known as the Asgard). Thor’s Hammer may be an energy weapon (Thor’s Hammer) used by the peaceful gods to protect humans from their enemy the Goa’uld. Teal’c informs the group that he has heard of such a weapon on a planet called Cimmeria where no Goa’uld will go for fear of death. SG-1 gates to the planet where they are scanned by a device which detects Goa’ulds. The beam causes Teal’c pain. O’Neill runs to help him, and they are both transported to a series of caves where they must battle a Unas (Vincent Hammond) – the first host of the Goa’uld – to survive. Carter, Jackson, and Kendra (Galyn Gorg) go on a long journey to the caves in order to assist O’Neill and Teal’c. Teal’c forces the Unas into Thor’s Hammer, thusly, the Unas dies. O’Neill orders Jackson to fire Teal’c’s staff weapon at Thor’s Hammer allowing Teal’c to walk out of the caves, SG-1 in tow, with no pain. à Plot Outline by Chad C.
