Plot Outline:

The team encounters a woman in labor on an alien planet. Carter and Jackson help deliver the baby. The team is accepted into the village. Kynthia (Bobbie Phillips) hands O’Neil a pizza—like food, and he sleeps with her. The people fall asleep as the sun sets. Everyone falling asleep at the same time startles SG-1, thusly, they investigate the situation under the assumption that the cause is a virus. The symptoms, of the virus, include no fever; shallow breathing; and a slow heart rate. The team discovers that the sleep is induced by nanites which rapidly advance the infected to the age of one—hundred years old in just a one—hundred day period. A Goa’uld impersonating the Greek god Pelops created the contagion to speed up human evolution in order to create a better host for the Goa’uld. O’Neil contracts the disease and has two weeks to live before he reaches the equivalent of one—hundred years old. Hammond orders all work to find a cure for O’Neil to cease after the nanites attempt to infect the base. The people of Pelops destroy the statue of him. O’Neil with Kynthia leaves the village, and they do not fall asleep at sun set. The statue is a device that puts people to sleep and wakes them up again. The machine malfunctions leaving the people stuck in slumber. The team returns to awaken the sleeping. Everyone, including O’Neil, is cured. à Plot Outline by Chad C.
