Plot Outline:
On a planet, SG-1 finds a bed of broken blue crystals. They split up to search the
area. During his search, O’Neill is knocked unconscious by a crystal. A double of O’Neill
is created and returns to Earth with SG-1. The double goes in search of O’Neil’s ex--
wife Sara (Harley Jane Kozak) and their son Charlie (Kyle Graham) who died just before
the first Abydos mission. Dr. Jackson tells Carter about O’Neil’s family. Teal’c fires his
staff weapon at a blue crystal brought back from the planet. The double goes to O’Neil’s
former home to make peace with what happened to Charlie. Dr. Jackson, Carter, and
Teal’c discovers that the crystals were destroyed by Goa’uld weaponry. They also find
out that the crystals are life forms. Meanwhile, the real O’Neil returns to Earth and is put
under arrest. The double falls over and electrical sparks come out of him. The real
O’Neill finds out about the double. SG-1 uncovers that the bed with blue crystals is
actually a mass grave. The double is admitted to the hospital and more electrical sparks
come out of him. SG-1 goes to the hospital to contain the situation. While there, the real
O’Neil is hit by the double’s energy. The double feared O’Neil because of his warrior
mind. He thought that O’Neil was going to finish the job the Goa’uld had started. To
provide closure for Jack and Sara, the double takes the form of Charlie O’Neil. O’Neil
takes the double of Charlie back to his planet. à Plot Outline by Chad C.
